Baekhyeon-dong brunch café with jamón nectarine salad: Meolmeol Pangyo

I was hunting for a brunch spot in Pangyo and found a place that nailed my taste from the vibe down to the menu. This is Meolmeol Pangyo (멀멀), also written MURMUR. With its blue-accented facade, outdoor tables and parasols, I actually paused and thought — wait, is this really Pangyo...? For a second it felt like I'd teleported into some quiet café town in Europe. Haha, almost like stepping into a different world. 💙

But this place wasn't just pretty on the outside. Every dish I tried had an unusual combination that actually worked, and especially the sauces — they're seriously good here. I ended up scraping the truffle baby potato fries sauce off the plate with a spoon... lol

Where is Meolmeol Pangyo and where do you park?

Meolmeol Pangyo sits on the Baekhyeon-dong café street. If you're driving, you can use the Baekhyeon-dong café street public parking lot, which gives 1 hour free.

As I walked from the parking lot toward the café, the moment I saw the facade I thought, "Wait, what is this vibe?" Blue window frames, a blue-and-white striped awning, wooden tables and chairs, and a huge parasol.

Doesn't it look, just from the photos, like a tiny brunch café tucked in some European backstreet? It felt like a quick trip away, right in the middle of Pangyo. I really love this kind of atmosphere. 💙

What is the interior of Meolmeol Pangyo like?

If the exterior felt exotic, the inside of Meolmeol Pangyo was warmer and more homey. White walls and wood tables as the base, with fresh flowers and green plants scattered around, plus pops of yellow, red and blue — so it never felt like a cookie-cutter café.

Sunlight pouring in through the big windows made it a great spot for daytime brunch, and the flowers on every table were a lovely touch. 🌼

They also had baby chairs and kids' tableware ready, so it looked easy to visit with a child. And with proof of vaccination and a leash, dogs are welcome too.

Besides the indoor seats, there's also a terrace out back, and I imagine once it cools down a bit, brunch on the terrace would be really nice.

Meolmeol isn't your typical brunch menu — it's more Italian-based with unusual ingredients and combinations. The store's own description actually says they aim for interesting, novel dishes rather than the ordinary. So just reading the menu had me going, "Wait, what does this even taste like?"

Order this first: truffle baby potato fries, 9,000 won 🥔

Meolmeol Pangyo's truffle baby potato fries are ₩9,000, and they hit hard right out of the gate. Lol. It came out with warm, freshly-fried potatoes piled high with a creamy sauce.

One bite in and — whoa, what is this sauce?! The outside is crispy, the inside of the potato is fluffy, and the soft, savory sauce fits it perfectly.

At first I was just dipping the potatoes in the sauce, but eventually I felt bad leaving any sauce on the plate, so I grabbed a spoon and scraped it clean. Lol. I'm serious. If it's your first time at Meolmeol, I'd say get this as a side, no question.

Endive salad with jamón, nectarine and berry yogurt, 19,000 won 🥗

The endive salad is ₩19,000, served with jamón and vegetables plus nectarine and berry yogurt. The ingredients felt really fresh, but what made it fun was eating them all together.

Jamón and vegetables piled on, then a bite with nectarine and berry yogurt on top. Whoa... what flavor is this?

It's not a familiar salad taste. There's the saltiness of the jamón, the sweet-tart brightness of the fruit, and the softness of the yogurt all layered together — an unfamiliar combination, but oddly enough my hand kept reaching for more. I'd recommend eating a bit of everything together rather than one ingredient at a time!

This is the kind of dish that made Meolmeol stick in my memory. Not ordinary brunch you could get anywhere — there's flavor here you actually need to come eat.

Truffle cream pasta, 21,000 won 🍝

For the main, we had Meolmeol Pangyo's truffle cream pasta, ₩21,000. Cream-based, but not overly rich or heavy.

For my taste, the cream had just the right level of savory saltiness. Mushrooms were mixed in too, and eating them with the cream brought out even more depth of flavor!

Even after demolishing the baby potato fries the way I did, I still kept going on the pasta. Haha. Eating through the meal at Meolmeol, I realized this isn't a place that just makes things pretty — they really know how to nail a sauce. Both the fries and the pasta left sauce on the plate that felt like a waste not to finish. ♡

Lemon cream tea, 7,000 won 🍋

For a drink, we ordered lemon cream tea (₩7,000). A bright lemon base topped with soft cream and a lemon slice on top — very photogenic.

They told us to eat the soft cream with a spoon first, then drink the tea. So I scooped a full spoonful of cream and — tangy, sweet, and the lemon aroma hit hard all at once. What is this?!

Since the brunch dishes leaned rich with cream and truffle, sipping the lemon cream tea in between refreshed my palate — a great combo.

Finishing with the complimentary mini yuja bingsu 🍧

The finale was the complimentary mini yuja (citron) bingsu! Even after a full brunch, there's always room for dessert, right? Lol.

Snow-white milk shaved ice topped generously with yellow yuja sauce. One bite and — yes, exactly this. After all that cream pasta, ending on a bright citron note completely cleaned the palate. The portion wasn't overwhelming either, perfect for sharing around the table after a meal. A perfect finishing touch. 💛

Is brunch at Meolmeol Pangyo worth it? My verdict

At first, Meolmeol Pangyo caught my eye purely for its pretty exterior. Looking at the blue-and-white facade felt like stepping briefly into another world, some quiet European café. But after eating, my opinion shifted. This is a place where the food outshines the atmosphere.

The truffle baby potato fries had me scraping the sauce with a spoon, lol, and the salad's unusual combo of jamón, fruit and yogurt really stood out. The truffle cream pasta was great too — I lost count of how many times I said, "This place really knows sauces."

Finishing cleanly with the mini yuja bingsu at the end, it felt like a proper full course from brunch to dessert. ♡ If you want something a little different and fun instead of the usual brunch menu, or you want to enjoy a leisurely brunch in a beautiful space, Meolmeol Pangyo is worth a visit next time you're looking for brunch in Pangyo.
