Finding Bakerist Brown near Sinnonhyeon Station

While looking for a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station, I ended up at Bakerist Brown. I visited around 3pm on a weekday, and even in the middle of the afternoon there were quite a lot of customers.

It's not just a place to grab bread to go — it's a bakery café where you can enjoy dessert and coffee together, which made it a good afternoon stop.

That day I ordered the Gangnam Sand set, a salted cream coffee, and an iced Americano.

How big is this Gangnam bakery café?

Bakerist Brown is located at 21 Gangnam-daero 102-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The building runs from basement level 1 up to the third floor, so the moment I stepped in it felt pretty spacious.

You order bread and drinks on the first floor and then head upstairs to sit, which made it a fine choice for a dessert visit after a meal.

First floor: bread and dessert counters

Walking into the first floor of Bakerist Brown, the bread and desserts catch your eye right away. Going along the display case, I found myself browsing item by item.

Some people just took bread to go, while many others ordered coffee too and headed upstairs.

The Gangnam Sand I picked that day was also on display, and the box packaging looked neat. Being able to browse many kinds of bread in one spot made choosing dessert kind of fun.

Seating from the basement up to the third floor

After ordering, seating continues as you go upstairs. With space up to the third floor, there are plenty of seats, but even at 3pm on a weekday there were quite a lot of customers.

There were groups of friends as well as people drinking coffee alone, giving the place an overall lively feel. Since I couldn't spot an open seat right away, I ended up wandering up through the upper floors.

Gangnam Sand 8-piece set, ₩19,000

The Gangnam Sand set came with 8 pieces for ₩19,000. Each piece was neatly placed in the box, making them easy to take out, and the size wasn't too much to handle.

They were nice to pick at one by one while drinking coffee, and with several pieces inside, good for sharing between two people. The packaging was tidy too, making it an easy pick for a dessert menu.

Salted cream coffee, ₩7,800

The salted cream coffee was ₩7,800. The soft cream on top comes through first, followed by a slightly salty note.

Drinking it together with the coffee underneath, the sweet cream and bitter coffee mixed nicely and paired well with the Gangnam Sand too. Of the drinks I ordered that day, this was the one better suited to a sweeter mood.

Iced Americano, ₩6,500

The iced Americano was ₩6,500. Sipping it between bites of the Gangnam Sand was nice since it kept the sweetness from lingering too long.

Iced Americano enjoyed alongside the Gangnam Sand

If the salted cream coffee leans sweet and smooth, the iced Americano was easy to pair with bread or dessert. Alternating between the two drinks made the flavors of the Gangnam Sand feel more varied too.

Dessert and coffee in one stop

When looking for a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station and wanting coffee too, Bakerist Brown was nice for being able to enjoy bread and coffee together in one spot.

After picking bread and dessert on the first floor and ordering a drink, I could take my time eating it in the upstairs seating.

Not having to move to a separate café made it a good place to visit for dessert after a meal.

How busy is it on a weekday afternoon?

Even on a weekday afternoon, customers kept coming in to pick out bread and order drinks.

With seating up to the third floor, but so many people, I often saw others heading upstairs just to find a seat. It felt less like a quiet café and more like a lively bakery café with people constantly moving through, enjoying bread and coffee.
