Decaf latte and mugwort latte, less sweet: Center Coffee Guui East
In short
Center Coffee Guui East Pole is a café on the basement level of the East Pole building near Guui Station Exit 3 in Gwangjin, Seoul. Visited on a weekday afternoon for Chicago cheesecake, an iced decaf latte, and a mugwort latte ordered less sweet with less cream. No extra charge for decaf and adjustable sweetness on the mugwort latte make it a good pick for anyone who doesn't love overly sweet drinks.

Taste review
🍰 A perfect twist of softness and rich flavor: the cheesecake 🍰

✔️Taste: Not just plain sweet — a pleasant balance of subtle tartness and deep flavor made this a happy bite 😋
✔️Texture: If you prefer a really dense or hard texture, this might feel a bit soft to you. But even within that light, soft texture, the rich, strong flavor of the cheese itself came through clearly. This was my first time having a cheesecake that's this soft yet this deeply flavored, so it felt really fresh and delicious haha
☕ An iced latte that shows real coffee-shop expertise ☕️

✔️Note: No extra charge for switching to decaf beans, which was a really nice touch haha
✔️Taste: I drink decaf regularly and have been to a lot of cafés, but a latte with this much aroma and depth at this price point is hard to find. It really gave off that 'a specialty coffee shop is different' feeling — a well-rounded, polished coffee.
🍵 Deep, subtle signature flavor: the mugwort latte 🍵

✔️Ordering tip: When ordering the mugwort latte, the staff member carefully asked me how sweet I wanted it beforehand! (I ordered at the register, not the kiosk.) I don't love sweet drinks much, so I asked for 'less sweet' and 'less cream,' and the result was extremely, extremely satisfying ㅠㅠ❤️ genuinely so good
✔️Taste: I'm not a picky eater, but I don't quite have an old-fashioned palate either, so honestly I ordered the mugwort latte on a bit of a whim haha. It tasted exactly like 'this would taste good if made this way,' and that was so surprising!!!✨ Even with less sugar and less cream, it hit my taste perfectly❗️ The deep aroma of mugwort blending with the smoothness of the latte felt like East and West meeting in harmony ❤️ No wonder it's the shop's best-selling menu item — I was very satisfied and I'll definitely be back to buy it with my own money again...
Overall thoughts
Every menu item I tried today was solid quality, which makes me curious about the other drinks on the menu, like the melon yogurt smoothie (the one I was torn between with the mugwort latte haha). It felt like each item was thoughtfully developed rather than just padding out the menu count. Being on the basement level of East Pole makes it easy to access, and the interior is spacious and cool, so it's a comfortable place to stop by :)
