I wanted delicious Western food in a place with good vibes, so I went out to try a pasta restaurant on Bongridan-gil. I'd stopped by before and had pasta and gnocchi, but this time I tried some different menu items.

Where is Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek? Parking and hours
Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek (안인정미소&개나리주택) is close to Buwon Station, and you'll spot it often while wandering Bongridan-gil. If you look at the restaurant and walk right, there's a private parking lot too, with 1 hour of free parking support if you eat there.

Hours are 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with a weekday break time from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Inside a converted old rice mill: the restaurant's atmosphere
The Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek store was spacious with a unique atmosphere. The tables were spaced generously apart too, so it's good for a date and also good for chatting with friends over a meal.

It's a converted old rice mill, so there's fun in just looking around.

What we ordered: snow crab guts cream pasta and spicy lasagna pizza
Here's the menu at Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek, a pasta place on Bongridan-gil. Last time I visited I had the sweet pumpkin basil cream gnocchi and the white ragu truffle pasta, which were really good. This time I wanted to try something new, so I ordered the snow crab guts cream pasta and the spicy lasagna pizza.

Pickles came out first.

Then barley tea came, and it had a retro feel that I appreciated.

The pre-meal bread came out.

The bread came out warm, so it was really chewy and soft. Dipping it in the oil and balsamic sauce pairs really well and tastes great.

How does the snow crab guts cream pasta taste?
First up was the snow crab guts cream pasta. Unlike a typical cream pasta, this one has a cream sauce made from snow crab guts.

I was worried it might taste fishy since it's made with crab guts, but there was no fishy taste at all — the savory, rich flavor of the crab guts paired really well with the cream sauce.

There was even flying fish roe in it, giving a nice pop of texture here and there, and with shrimp, clams, button mushrooms, and green onion all mixed in, every bite was full of umami and flavor.

The cream was rich and delicious, so I'd recommend it if you like a thick cream pasta — and also to anyone who wants to try something different. Being a pasta made with snow crab guts, it especially stuck in my memory.

What does the spicy lasagna pizza taste like?
Next was the spicy lasagna pizza. Lasagna usually brings to mind the combo of tomato, meat sauce, and cheese, but here it's combined with pizza, which made it look even more delicious.

They said they use a meat sauce made with 20 kinds of fresh ingredients, simmered and aged for a long time, so my expectations were high.

There was also a huge pile of cheese on top, and the cheese-pull visual was no joke.

Because the meat sauce is simmered and aged for a long time, you can really taste its depth. On top of that, jalapeños add a subtle but definite spiciness. The jalapeños cut through the richness that lasagna can have, making it even more enjoyable to eat.
The combination of rich, deep meat sauce and cheese with spicy jalapeños is delicious. It's loaded with pizza too, so the texture is great.

I sprinkled on a generous amount of parmesan cheese to make it even better. You can also add hot sauce depending on your taste.

Both the pasta and the lasagna pizza are distinctive and delicious. Each dish has its own personality, so it's more fun to eat them together.

With its comfortable atmosphere and distinctive menu, I recommend this pasta spot on Bongridan-gil. Visit on a day you want a special meal.

Terrace and annex: room for group gatherings at Anin Jeongmiso
If you go out the back of Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek, there's also a terrace. The atmosphere is so good, it seemed like a great spot to have pizza and beer here.

Next door there's also an annex.

This space is bigger, so it seems like it'd work well as a group gathering spot.

The atmosphere is nice, so it's good for a date, and also good for ordering a bunch of different dishes to share with friends. If you're looking for a good pasta restaurant on Bongridan-gil, stop by Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek. The atmosphere is great and the food is distinctive and delicious, so you can enjoy a different kind of day.
