Korean BBQ with a baby in Jangyu, Gimhae: kids-welcome Anmin Yulha
In short
Anmin Yulha is a kids-welcome samgyeopsal (pork belly) Korean BBQ restaurant on Yulha Cafe Street in Jangyu, Gimhae. Visiting with two one-year-olds, the writer ordered the Anmin half-pig set for 39,500 won and masitte golbimmyeon (spicy cold noodles) for 6,000 won, and a staff member grilled the meat from start to finish, crisping and cutting separate pieces for the babies. For parents eating out with a baby, Anmin Yulha lets you focus on the meal instead of the grill.

I never knew how hard it would be to take a baby to a Korean BBQ place until I actually became a parent. 😂 Even with a high chair, by the time you've sorted the baby's dishes and food, you and your partner end up letting the meat burn on the grill.
But this visit to Anmin Yulha was really different. They were so well set up for babies, and staff grilled the meat for us from start to finish, so we could eat comfortably even with our one-year-olds.
Above all, the meat itself was genuinely delicious — one of the best I've had all year, honestly. I want to recommend it to anyone looking for good food in Jangyu. Today I'm sharing everything about this Gimhae samgyeopsal (pork belly) spot we visited with our one-year-olds — the menu, the baby service, and how the meat tasted.
Where is Anmin Yulha in Gimhae, and what are the hours?
Anmin Yulha is located on Yulha Cafe Street in Gimhae. It opens at 4:30pm on weekdays and noon on weekends, making it a great option for a weekend family meal.
Parking is available, corkage is free, and they even have chilling bags ready — welcome news for anyone who wants to bring their own wine to pair with the meat.
An interior that feels more like an upscale tuna restaurant than a BBQ joint

The first thing I thought walking in was "wow, this is really clean!" You usually picture Korean BBQ places as a bit busy and greasy, but Anmin Yulha felt overwhelmingly tidy and clean throughout.
Personally, it felt more like an upscale tuna restaurant than a BBQ joint. When dining out with a baby, how comfortable the space feels really matters — and on that front, this place won me over from the first impression!
What makes Anmin Yulha easy to visit with a one-year-old

This was just as satisfying as the meat itself. As a true welcome kids zone, Anmin Yulha had genuinely thoughtful preparations for babies — high chairs and baby cutlery, of course, but also seaweed and a dessert drink for kids.
What moved me most was something else entirely. They grilled a separate batch of meat extra-crisp just for the baby and cut it into bite-sized pieces without us even asking! When you're at a BBQ place with a one-year-old, you're usually frazzled trying to grill for yourself and prep food for the baby at the same time — having that handled so thoughtfully was such a relief.
On top of that, staff grilled all the adults' meat from start to finish too, so we could focus on eating while looking after the babies. This is the biggest reason I want to tell anyone looking for a Jangyu restaurant to visit with a baby about Anmin Yulha.
They also offer a celebratory cocktail on birthdays and keep hair ties and basic first-aid items on hand — the thoughtful little touches were impressive.
What comes in the Anmin half-pig set for 39,500 won

We ordered the Anmin half-pig set for ₩39,500. It lets you enjoy Anmin's signature pork belly and pork neck along with herbal-marinated pork skin all at once, which makes it a great pick for first-time visitors.

I was especially looking forward to trying good Jangyu pork belly, and once I tasted it, I immediately understood why I'd want to come back.
The meat was so tender and juicy. No dry or tough chewing at all — just moist, flavorful pork that satisfied from the very first bite. Personally, I'd say it might be the best meat I've had all year.

Best of all, since staff handled the entire grilling process, we got to eat it at its absolute best. Not having to worry about missing the perfect grilling moment while chasing after the babies turned out to be such a huge advantage, haha!
Side sauces at Anmin Yulha, from pine-flower salt to cheese fondue

Another thing I loved about this Jangyu samgyeopsal spot was the sheer variety of sauces and side dishes to pair with the meat.

They had curry chickpea powder, cumin, shiitake wasabi, salted hairtail entrails, fish sauce dip, and cheese fondue sauce — enough to make the same meat taste totally different each time. Add in pickles, green onion kimchi, wrap greens, cabbage salad, washed kimchi, and yuzu-marinated radish, and the options were endless.
- Sauces: curry chickpea powder, cumin, shiitake wasabi, salted hairtail entrails, fish sauce dip, cheese fondue sauce, pine-flower salt
- Side dishes: pickles, green onion kimchi, wrap greens, cabbage salad, washed kimchi, yuzu-marinated radish

For my first bite, I went with a light dip in the pine-flower salt to enjoy the meat's natural flavor. The pork was so good on its own that just salt was more than satisfying. After that, I got to enjoy different combinations depending on my mood.
It wasn't just about the number of side dishes — each had its own distinct character, which made mixing and matching genuinely fun. Good Jangyu pork belly is all about the meat's natural flavor, but having such a wide range of pairings meant we never got tired of it until the very end.

The Anmin half-pig set comes with herbal-marinated pork skin in addition to the pork belly and neck. While grilling the pork skin, they threw eggplant and mushrooms on the grill too, which were great to eat alongside the meat.
With all the different sauces and side dishes plus grilled vegetables, the whole spread felt even more abundant. Being able to enjoy pork belly, pork skin, and vegetables all together at once was a real plus.
Masitte golbimmyeon for 6,000 won: a spicy, cold finish

After eating so much good meat, things started feeling a bit rich, so we ordered masitte golbimmyeon (whelk noodles) too. It's ₩6,000, and I was surprised at how generous the portion was.

The chewy fresh noodles combined with whelk and a sweet-and-tangy sauce felt like they cleansed the palate after all that meat. There was a generous amount of whelk in particular, which made it feel like great value for the price. Eat a bite of meat, then a bite of golbimmyeon, and the richness completely washes away, making you want to dive right back into the meat!
Why Anmin Yulha works for a family meal with a baby
This visit to Anmin Yulha was satisfying on every front — the food and the service alike. Tender, juicy meat, a wide range of sauces and side dishes to choose from, and staff grilling everything from start to finish were all great.
For families like ours dining out with a one-year-old, having a high chair, baby cutlery, seaweed, a dessert drink, and even separately grilled meat for the baby taken care of was a huge advantage. It let us eat far more comfortably than usual, and the clean space made for a genuinely pleasant visit.
If you're looking for a Gimhae restaurant that's easy to visit with a baby, or you just want to enjoy good Jangyu pork belly without the hassle of grilling it yourself, I'd definitely recommend this place. 💛
