What kind of restaurant is Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch?
I went looking for bossam (boiled pork wrap) and ended up at Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch. It's on the 2nd floor of A1 Plaza at 52 Yulha6-ro, Gimhae, open 11:00-21:00 with no regular holiday. They already have branches at Myeongji International City and Oceancity, so a Jangyu Yulha branch too means this is a genuinely well-known bossam spot — my expectations shot up.

Inside Myeongji Cheotjip: private partitioned tables
Stepping through the door, the clean interior and privately partitioned spaces caught my eye right away. I'd heard the care shows even in how the food is plated, and honestly that same care was already visible in the shop's atmosphere.

The tables were spaced generously too, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table over. It really felt like an upscale hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) restaurant.

There were plenty of families around too, so the vibe seemed easy for visiting with kids. Myeongji Cheotjip even has dessert ready afterward.

What comes with the 42,000 won bossam set for two
Looking at the menu at Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch, the lunch specials came in three bossam set tiers: Neat, Value, and Grand. I ordered the Value set bossam meal for two at ₩42,000. It's one step up from the Neat set, and comes with grilled mackerel alongside the bossam set — that got me even more excited.

Fresh wrap greens came out neatly set alongside various jeotgal (salted seafood) and banchan (side dishes). The salad, fish cake, and the rest of the banchan were so good.

The steamed egg was like pudding, and so, so good — springy with just the right seasoning.
Every single side dish felt cared for down to the plating, so I was already satisfied before the main even arrived.

It was such a generous spread for the price. I get why it's so busy. A place that delights the eyes too — I loved it.

The steamed pork and wrap greens
The thickly sliced steamed pork came out still steaming — looked delicious just sitting there. I picked up a piece and it was tender and moist with no gamey smell at all.

Fresh wrap greens, glossy rice, and bossam kimchi — all so clean and tidy. The wrap greens included lettuce, perilla leaves, and even peppers, so there was fun in picking what to use.

Wrapping a piece of pork with a dab of ssamjang (dipping sauce) in the greens, my mouth filled with satisfaction.

Grilled mackerel included with the value set
The grilled mackerel that came alongside was unmissable too. The flesh was plump and rich, with absolutely no fishy smell.

The skin was crispy and the flesh moist — eating it together with the bossam made the whole spread feel properly complete.
Total bill and is it worth it?
The value set bossam meal for two was ₩42,000, plus a ₩2,000 drink, for a total of ₩44,000. After filling up on the bossam set at Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch, I understood why it's known as a great restaurant.
The neat table setting, fresh ingredients, and the grilled mackerel on top all made it a place I want to remember and revisit. A restaurant I'll likely come back to whenever bossam is on my mind.
