Kiosk-order lunch before shopping at Gijang outlet: Bueokgan

Hey, it's Meokjju! I went to Bueokgan, a Western restaurant in Gijang everyone raves about~! It was a rare date day with my mom, and I told her to pick the menu haha, so she named her favorite dishes. Pasta, hamburger, shabu-shabu. And out of those, she picked~ pasta haha

Honestly, my friends always used to say, come on, what grown adult likes pasta that much, aren't you just picking what you like? But look at my mom's favorites — pasta, hamburger, pizza, croquettes. Even she says she's a bit of an odd one haha. Still, she eats everything happily, so I'm happy. They're all things I love too, so my mom and I match perfectly.

My mom used to not eat much pasta, but lately she says pasta tastes really good. I wasn't surprised when she got into pizza and hamburgers, but pasta was unexpected — she never used to like rich, heavy food. She's changed a lot~

Where is Bueokgan? Right in front of the UGG store

Bueokgan is on the 1st floor of Busan Premium Outlets, at 1133 Jeonggwan-ro, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan. Even though it's on the 1st floor, the place is so huge you might have trouble finding it. Seriously, it's massive. UGG~! It's located right in front of the UGG store, so head all the way to the far right end~!

There's a parking lot, and it's free to use.

Shopping at Busan Premium Outlets with my mom, and eating the pasta she picked haha — first, to fuel up before shopping, we headed to Bueokgan on the 1st floor~ A Gijang Western restaurant famous for its European-style interior and spacious layout — let's go~!

Busan Premium Outlets is part of the Shinsegae group, you know. My mom and I suddenly had matching schedules, so off we went shopping after a long while. First, let's eat before we shop. Walking around such a huge lot, you get hungry fast, and even after eating you'll keep moving and need to eat again while shopping haha. So the plan was to eat well and eat solid.

Inside Bueokgan: seating, and is it easy with kids?

The moment you walk into Bueokgan, what catches your eye first is the exotic, European-style interior~! Warm wood-toned furniture paired with tasteful lighting gives it a cozy feel, like being invited into the living room of some Nordic home.

Stylish framed art and vintage pieces decorating the walls add depth to the space and keep the mood upscale throughout the meal~~ The interior is very spacious and comfortable, with group seating well set up too. On weekends it gets crowded — even in such a big space, it's clearly popular. Eat, then shop~~!

High chairs and dedicated kids' tableware are fully equipped, so families with young children can comfortably enjoy traditional Western dishes here~!

You order Bueokgan's menu via kiosk. There are photos alongside the items, which makes picking much easier.

The cola arrives first. They bring an ice cup along with it too. Nice touch! Love that!

Mom's pick: shrimp rosé pasta

The menu we ordered together, pasta was the main event. And among the pastas, we ordered shrimp rosé pasta! My mom's pick~! The rosé sauce, where smooth cream and tangy tomato sauce meet in a perfect ratio, was so good. It had that savory umami that clings to your mouth, and best of all, there were plenty of big, plump shrimp with a great bouncy texture, making every bite fun to chew~!

My number one: Bueokgan's lasagna

And my personal pick, the lasagna. A lasagna made with real care. Between the layers of wide pasta sheets, deeply flavored, slow-simmered ragu sauce and savory cheese seep in thoroughly — it was genuinely moving. Super hearty and rich haha. One bite and the harmony of meat and cheese filling your mouth gives you that satisfying feeling of eating a European home-cooked meal~! Absolutely the best~!

Sweet potato fries that don't taste like a side dish

It's a side dish, but it doesn't feel like one — the sweet potato fries. Eat them before they cool down. Even after cooling, they stay crispy, but they pair perfectly with ketchup anyway. Fries really do need ketchup~! Sweet potato fries taste even better than regular potato fries to me. Great as an appetizer, and great alongside your main dish too~! This is the kind of side dish kids would go crazy for.
