Gijang, Busan Western restaurant with truffle mushroom pizza: Bueokgan

I visited Bueokgan last week after going to the Shinsegae outlet in Gijang, Busan to buy futsal shoes for my kids, and stayed for a late lunch. I'd always just walked past it whenever I visited the outlet, but this time the kids were craving pasta and pizza for lunch, so I finally gave it a try.

Where is Bueokgan inside Shinsegae Outlet in Gijang, Busan?
Bueokgan, a Western food restaurant in Gijang, Busan, is located in the innermost area of NORTH 1F on the left side of the Shinsegae Outlet. It's right past the escalator in front of the UGG store, so it was very easy to find.
The interior went back quite far and had high ceilings, so it didn't feel cramped at all.
There were waiting seats near the entrance, but it didn't seem like there was much of a wait if you visit on a weekday rather than the weekend.
Is Bueokgan good with kids? Seats and the self-service corner
Most tables at Bueokgan seat 4, and there were also tables for 6, making this Gijang Western food restaurant a great spot for family meals.
Baby chairs were available too. Baby tableware was all ready as well, so it looked perfect for dining with kids.
I spotted self-service stations here and there, stocked with tissues, wet wipes, and aprons — help yourself if you need them.
Each seat had a small plate, knife, fork, spoon, wet wipe, and water cup all set up.
Bueokgan menu and the four plates we ordered
The menu was diverse — there were signature sets and family sets, plus soups, salads, pasta, gnocchi, lasagna, risotto, pilaf, pizza, and steak, with plenty of dishes to share with kids.

Order complete ☺️ Pickles came as a default side dish, which were nice and crunchy to eat between bites of pizza or pasta.
Shrimp anchovy pasta, 18,000 won: the spicy plate for adults
📌Shrimp anchovy pasta. A signature oil pasta where fresh shrimp and anchovy come together nicely.
It has chili in it so it's a bit spicy — hard to share with kids. Plump shrimp and thinly sliced garlic go into it as well.
The noodles were cooked just right. I personally prefer oil pasta over tomato pasta, and this was clean-tasting with just the right seasoning — the chili's spiciness cut through any richness perfectly, so I slurped it down happily.
Shrimp rose pasta, 20,000 won: the creamy dish kids loved
📌Shrimp rosé pasta. A creamy rosé pasta with appealing textures from tender shrimp and button mushrooms.
Plump shrimp went in here too, and since my kids love mushrooms, having mushrooms with the pasta meant they really dug in. Twirling it onto a fork to eat was the best!
To the kids' taste it was savory, sweet-and-tangy, and just right in seasoning — they ate with their faces buried in the plate ☺️
The sauce was generous too, so it never felt dry even down to the last bite — creamy and smooth, it suited the kids' palates well. If you're visiting with a kid, I recommend this one!
Kung pao chicken pilaf, 22,000 won
📌Kung pao chicken pilaf. An Asian-style fried rice where salty-spicy kung pao sauce pairs well with oven-roasted chicken.
My husband was curious and ordered this extra at the end — a whole piece of chicken cooked and placed on top of the fried rice.
It smelled amazing — a bit spicy for the kids, but the adults loved it! The seasoning was a touch strong, but eating it together with the chicken on top balanced it out perfectly. I especially loved that fried rice so much I kept scraping the plate ☺️
Truffle mushroom pizza, 22,000 won
📌Truffle mushroom pizza. A pizza baked with chewy mushrooms on a homemade tomato sauce base, topped with truffle oil and chopped scallions.
The pizza was piled high with mushrooms, chewy and great in texture. It had a bit of thickness too, and the dough was soft and pillowy, so the cheese stretched out beautifully.
Would we go back to Bueokgan for a family meal after shopping?
It paired well with the other dishes too, and the kids ate really well. I'd always just gone shopping at the Gijang Shinsegae outlet, but coming here for Western food with the kids after a long time turned out to be delicious and such a good call. I'll definitely come back next time I think of it while shopping at the outlet ☺️
