Since we were out at the outlet as a family, here's a review of a Western restaurant that was great to stop by. It's Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets. I'd heard this brand already had a great reputation for atmosphere and food in Haeundae and Marine City, and was curious how it would be reinterpreted for an outlet space. I'd always wanted to go but it was a bit far, so since we happened to be in Gijang for other plans, I went straight there.

It's conveniently located along the outlet shopping route, easy for a meal before or after shopping. It's the perfect spot to duck into right when the kids start getting hungry mid-shopping, so it made planning our route easy. And since the kids love pasta and pizza so much, it was perfect for the whole family to eat together. 👍🏻
What does Bueokgan's dining room feel like?
Bueokgan Restaurant's atmosphere had a classic brick exterior with European-feeling wood-tone interiors, making it a nice spot for a family meal or an outing.
With cute framed pictures on the walls and cozy lighting, it felt like it would suit a date course too, but I saw especially many families around. It's inside a bustling mall, but felt like a calm, cozy space. ◡̈⋆
The table setting was so pretty too.

As soon as we sat down, they set up a baby chair and baby tableware right away.
Bueokgan's menu, tablet ordering and the 64,000 won bill
Bueokgan Restaurant has such a wide menu that it was hard to decide what to order. Salads, pastas, pizzas, gnocchi, steaks — so many delicious options.
Ordering was easy through the tablet installed at each table.
We ordered shrimp rosé pasta for ₩20,000, arugula prosciutto pizza for ₩22,000, and kung pao chicken pilaf for ₩22,000, totaling ₩64,000.
Arugula prosciutto pizza, 22,000 won
First up, the arugula prosciutto pizza!! Pizza is always right. It was delicious, with plenty of cheese — a hit.
Shrimp rosé pasta, 20,000 won — too peppery for the kids
Next came the shrimp rosé pasta, which looked so appetizing! There was no spice-level marking, so I'd originally planned for the kids to eat it too, but when they tried it, they found it spicy. When I tasted it myself, it wasn't the sauce that was spicy — it seemed like the pepper was a bit too much for the kids..😅 Still, they ate it little by little. haha
Kung pao chicken pilaf, 22,000 won — the whole chicken leg steals the show
Last up, the kung pao chicken pilaf. I didn't expect much from this one, but it was genuinely good, haha. As soon as that chicken leg showed up, it stole the show..
It was nice for picking off the meat and sharing with the kids. It had a spice level 1 marking, so I hadn't originally planned to share it, but once I picked off the inner meat for them, it was soft and not spicy at all. However, the rice part was a bit spicy, so we didn't share that. ☺️
Why Bueokgan works for a meal out with kids
Everything felt fresh and tasted great, and the staff were friendly, so the whole meal felt comfortable. From the food to the service, it was an overall solid experience with nothing lacking. Visiting as a family, the food suited both adult and kid tastebuds well, so the whole family could share easily, and having a baby chair and tableware ready made it all the more pleasant!
