Hello, this is Gatsaeng Lizzy. I was craving samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly), so this time I visited Geobugi Dongne. Geobugi Dongne is a chain restaurant with great prices and really, really good food!

Where is Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch, and where do you park?

I parked nearby at the Jeongam Building. The address is 410 Suyeong-ro, ₩3,000 per hour. Alright, let's go in and eat some meat!

Inside Geobugi Dongne: seating and kiosk ordering

Unlike the outside, the interior of Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch was very spacious. It's suitable for dining out, company dinners, or gatherings. There were other customers, so I couldn't take photos. Check the menu on the kiosk — there are photos of the menu items too. Please place your order through the kiosk as well.

What should I eat? I thought about it a lot. Let's try the jjolmyeon set. Lizzy's first attempt at jjolmyeon!

Utensils and tissues are set beside the table, with basic wet wipes, tongs, and scissors set up on the table. (If you need more, they're at the self-serve bar.)

What does the 5,000-won self-serve bar include?

The self-serve bar at Geobugi Dongne costs a ₩5,000 table-setting fee. It's fully self-serve from beginning to end — there's no basic setup done by the staff either. You can eat as much as you like from the self-serve bar, so just go with whatever you like.

I brought back only the things I like. I love grilled bracken haha.

Grilling the 500g ogyeopsal pork belly from the jjolmyeon set

The jjolmyeon set with 500g of ogyeopsal has arrived.

I brought over extra garlic, curry powder, soy-onion sauce and more to grill the pork belly.

The pork belly is grilling nicely along with the bracken.

Now let's wrap one up in a lettuce leaf and eat it!

Why the jjolmyeon set is too much food for two people

The jjolmyeon, one of the set items, has also arrived. The portion of jjolmyeon is enormous... If you also want to eat rice and stew, well — Lizzy came with a friend, two of us, and ordered this, but if you're coming as a pair, you should avoid the jjolmyeon set. The portion is way too much. The jjolmyeon itself tastes good though.

Mixed it up nicely and slurped it down. Yum yum.

It was so delicious we ate a lot. Hehe.

Doenjang-jjigae and pot rice with a nurungji finish

We have to finish with rice and doenjang-jjigae, right? We ordered doenjang-jjigae and stone pot rice. We also made nurungji-tang (scorched rice soup) with it.

There's also ice cream and coffee after the meal.

We really, really ate well. It was a perfect meal, 100 out of 100.

Dongbaekjeon payment, wait times and the combo to order instead

Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch accepts Dongbaekjeon payment. Weekday evenings have an occasional wait, and weekend evenings may have a wait too. Here are Lizzy's recommended menu combos for Geobugi Dongne.

• 5 servings of ogyeopsal + doenjang-jjigae, stone pot rice
• 3 servings of hangjeongsal (pork neck) + 3 servings of ogyeopsal + doenjang-jjigae, stone pot rice

Stone pot rice is definitely tastier than regular steamed rice. And you even get to eat the nurungji! That wraps up this yum-yum review.
