Byeolbit Camping Site is located at 307-2 Damteo-gil, Gwanin-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. Sites are divided into Flat Zone, Starlight Zone, B site, and A site, priced at ₩40,000, ₩50,000, ₩50,000, and ₩60,000 respectively. Rates are the same on weekdays and weekends, both auto-camping and car camping are possible, and reservations go through Naver Reservation.

The weather was so good last weekend that I went to Byeolbit Camping Site in Pocheon with my kid. These days it's cooling down and perfect for outdoor time during the day, but too nice to just stay home, so we went camping together for the first time in a while.

Where is the B7 site and how big is it?

The B7 site I used was set a bit further inside, away from the bathrooms and sinks. That meant it was slightly removed from where people were walking around, which I liked because we could camp quietly. The site size is about 6m x 7m, so it's on the spacious side.

What a kid can do at the B7 site: balance bike and open space

When you go camping with a kid, the adults are busy grilling meat and prepping food, so kids can get bored. So this time we brought along the balance bike my kid loves. After arriving at the campground, she rode around for a long while and explored the surroundings, so she didn't get bored and played happily for quite a long time.

On top of that, it's great that both auto-camping and car camping are possible, so you can use it however suits your camping style. Even setting up a tent and all our gear for family camping with a kid, I never felt short on space.

Hot water at the sinks and showers, plus shared facilities

One thing I especially liked about Byeolbit Camping Site was how clean the shared facilities were overall. There was dish soap at the sinks so I could wash up nicely, and hot water came out well too.

We docked our tent with an Aiduzen A4 on the car that day, and when it got cold before dawn we turned on the heater and slept — it was perfect~!

The creek in front of the campground: what is it like in summer?

There's also a valley right in front of Byeolbit Camping Site, so I imagine it would be even better visiting in summer. This time the weather was great so we just enjoyed camping itself, but in summer, using the valley too would make for a full day of fun with my kid. So personally I thought it'd be a good spot to plan a summer family camping trip too.

What you can buy at the Byeolbit Camping Site snack shop

There's a microwave inside the snack shop, so you can use it if the one at the sinks is busy. The shop sells most of what you'd need for camping — ramyeon (instant noodles), ice cream, packaged rice, and so on.

From the sinks to the shop, showers, and bathrooms, everything was kept clean and I never felt inconvenienced, which made it great for family camping. The showers are clean too and the hot water comes out well.

After playing hard with my kid, it was proper eating time! Meat grilled while camping tastes different from meat at home, somehow. We grilled meat and cooked ramyeon in between, spending the day at an easy pace. You don't have to do anything special — just playing with your kid in nature, eating good food, and resting here and there is a solid way to spend a weekend outing.

And Byeolbit Camping Site in Pocheon is a sunset spot! It's pretty even with a random shot — a true sunset spot.

We stir-fried some meat, drank coffee, and had a cool beer too — it was a good time. It was nice to have an enjoyable camping trip somewhere not too far from home after a long while :)

Who is Byeolbit Camping Site right for?

This trip to Byeolbit Camping Site in Pocheon suited a family camping trip where you want to spend a relaxed day in nature with your kid, more than one chasing flashy facilities. We used the B7 site, and I especially liked that it wasn't too far from the bathrooms or sinks while still being tucked inside and relatively quiet. My kid had a blast riding her balance bike, and we had a relaxed time eating meat and ramyeon.
