Italian restaurant in Gomo-ri, Pocheon with baby tableware: From Italy

This time I went with Somi, Taeo, and my husband to "From Italy," an Italian restaurant in Gomo-ri. Taeo's second outing ever! Since we have Somi, we couldn't just stay home forever... so our Taeo got out into the world pretty fast haha (21 days old). So I went looking for a place where we could eat as comfortably as possible!

Where is From Italy's Gomo-ri main branch? Hours and parking

From Italy is located at 669 Jugyeopsan-ro, Sohol-eup, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open Wednesday 11:00–20:40 and Sunday 11:00–20:40, with last order at 20:00, and break time from 15:30–17:00. They were even open 11:00–20:40 during the Chuseok holiday, Sep 24–26 (Thu, Fri, Sat).

There's an outdoor terrace space behind the restaurant too, with an open mountain view that felt really expansive, and there's a "photo zone" so I got tons of pictures of Somi haha! Before we even ate 📸 (gotta snap fast while Somi's still in a good mood...)

There really was so much to look at haha. From antique furniture to frames, teacups, and little decor pieces everywhere, it felt less like a restaurant and more like browsing a small exhibition hall. There were so many spots for photos that the moment I saw a mirror, I snapped one myself haha!

Is there plenty of seating? From Italy's second floor

The From Italy restaurant was really spacious! Tables are arranged with plenty of room throughout, and there's also a slightly separated open-room-style space, which was great for a family meal! Plus there are tables on the second floor too, so there's quite a lot of seating!

The atmosphere was so pretty I had to get a shot of Somi 📸. Her outfit today matched the interior so well lol. Just sitting there quietly, she suddenly gave off this aristocratic-young-lady vibe 🖤 — though in a mom's eyes she's just impossibly cute either way haha.

What's on the menu at From Italy

The menu is genuinely varied! There are cream, tomato, and oil-based pastas, plus risottos, pizzas, salads, and even steaks — quite a lot of options. There are set courses for 1 person, 2 people, and 3–4 people, so it's easy to order according to your group size! The mini ciabatta served before the meal

The pre-meal bread 🍞 — mini ciabatta with cranberries baked in, nutty and really tasty. Somi ate it right up haha.

Zucca Dolce pasta, 37,000 won

The "Zucca Dolce pasta" was seriously generous, even just from the visuals! They explained that you should cut up the pumpkin and eat it together with the noodles! Big chunks of pumpkin, plenty of seafood like mussels — it was really loaded with ingredients! Slightly spicy though! (Less spicy than Shin Ramyun.)

Scallop basil risotto, 28,000 won

A risotto that was unique from the visuals alone. Thick, savory risotto topped with plump seared scallops! The risotto was genuinely delicious! Haha 👍👍

Is From Italy easy to eat at with a 20-month-old?

It must have suited Somi's taste too, because she really ate the scallops and risotto well haha! It was great to eat with a 20-month-old baby! If you're looking for a pasta place in Pocheon, definitely visit "From Italy"!
