If you're looking for a good-atmosphere date spot in Pocheon, I'd love to recommend Oseuseu! It's located in Sinup-dong, Pocheon, so it's fairly accessible from downtown. With its own distinct mood, it's a perfect place for a date. In this post I'll cover the location, menu, and my review of Oseuseu, a Pocheon date restaurant.

Where is Oseuseu in Pocheon?

Oseuseu, this Pocheon date restaurant, is located in Sinup-dong, Pocheon-si. It's in a well-connected downtown area, within a 10-minute walk of City Hall and Pocheon Sports Park.

Is there parking at Oseuseu?

Oseuseu doesn't have its own dedicated lot, but there's a public parking lot within 100 meters. During the daytime, spots tend to be fairly open, so parking wasn't difficult. With the nearby street public lot, parking was easy.

Here's the view in front of Oseuseu's entrance. Lush plant vines and vintage chairs are arranged into a distinctive, stylish photo zone. There was even a bit of a wait during weekend lunch, and I saw a lot of couples taking photos in this spot.

The interior overall is decorated with wood tones and vintage-style props. It had a warm yet antique feel.

The wine bottles casually placed on the tables also added to the stylish mood.

We took a seat by the picture window. Most of the other guests at the time I visited were couples. Overall it had a calm, comfortable atmosphere, making it a great spot for a date.

What is on the menu at Oseuseu?

Beyond pasta, there are Western dishes like steak and risotto. They also serve alcohol including wine, so it seems like a nice place for dinner with a glass of wine to set the mood. Pasta and risotto run ₩16,000–18,000, and steak is in the ₩20,000s, so the prices were reasonable.

We went with the Oseuseu Signature set menu. We ordered grilled napa cabbage salad, red shrimp pasta, house steak, and zero-sugar cola & cider.

Tasting the Oseuseu Signature Set

The dishes we ordered were set down one by one. (The grilled napa cabbage was photographed midway through.) The plating comes out really pretty, so it's a good place to visit for anniversaries or when you want to set a nice mood.

Grilled napa cabbage salad

A cabbage salad felt unfamiliar, but it was delicious. There was none of the raw taste of cabbage — instead, the cabbage's sweetness came through strongly. Even our kid, who doesn't usually like vegetables, took a bite, said it was good, and went back for more several times. The soft texture of the cooked vegetable combined with the cabbage's sweetness and the dressing left a memorable impression.

Red shrimp pasta

The red shrimp pasta comes in a cream sauce, topped with basil, salmon roe, and red shrimp. The plump red shrimp, with their satisfying pop, were loaded generously all the way down under the basil. The combination of the smooth cream sauce and the aroma of the red shrimp worked well. Cream sauce pasta can get heavy, but a salty, subtle seafood aroma seemed to cut through the richness.

House steak

Alongside the steak, a variety of vegetables were plated as a side. The steak was cooked to about rare. Eating the grilled vegetables (lotus root, zucchini, mushroom, tomato, etc.) together with the steak in particular gave it an even richer flavor.

There was also a thin layer of mashed potato spread underneath the steak — piling it on top of the steak gave a nutty, smooth combination. It was nice that they provided both grain mustard and wasabi sauce so you could pair them according to your taste.
