🅿️ Parking available
Hi, this is Mungjji. I was looking for beef in Jinju, and that day I wanted somewhere a bit more elegant and atmospheric than a regular barbecue joint — so I ended up at Psyche :) You know those days when you want beef but you also don't want to give up on ambiance? Hahaha. Once I looked it up, this place, which lets you enjoy an upscale meal in a private space, immediately caught my eye!

Psyche's exterior, parking and private rooms
Jinju beef restaurant Psyche has a different vibe from the outside already. The dark tones and soft lighting really bring out that luxurious, private feel~
Next to the entrance there's info about the cuts they serve — toshisal, ansangsal, jebichuri — so even before going in, I already felt like I'd arrived somewhere serious about beef^^!
There's parking for about 4 cars right beside the restaurant, and roadside parking is also possible, so you can visit without worrying about parking~!
What I especially liked about Psyche was that the space is mostly organized around rooms! There are spacious group rooms good for larger parties, as well as separate private rooms for smaller groups.
Rather than the typical bustling, chaotic barbecue restaurant atmosphere, it felt more like a space for enjoying beef while chatting quietly.

So it seemed like the atmosphere would suit not just dates, but meals with parents, family gatherings, birthdays, or anniversaries — those days when you want something a little special :)
Side dishes and the brass tableware spread at Psyche
Mungjji had made a reservation, and the basic side dishes to go with the beef were already neatly set up.

From the first look, I thought, "this is not a place that serves side dishes carelessly," haha.

From seasonal namul (seasoned vegetables) to pickles, garlic, peppers, and broccoli — each was served cleanly, along with a variety of sauces good for pairing with the beef.
The tableware caught my eye too — apparently Psyche uses brass tableware for almost 100% of its dishes. Add the softly gleaming brass to the already upscale interior, and the whole spread felt neat and made you feel truly looked after.

Porridge, salad and butter-grilled abalone before the beef
And here's a part I especially loved about Psyche! Before the main meal, they serve porridge, salad, and butter-grilled abalone first — it felt like slowly starting into a course meal.

First, the warm porridge gently settles your stomach — it was savory and soft, delicious from the first bite.

Then the salad refreshed the palate, and once I got to the butter-grilled abalone... oh man. The chewy texture of the abalone with the savory richness of butter had me already pretty satisfied before the main beef even arrived.

Psyche beef prices, review gift and birthday perks
The main beef cuts are ansangsal (skirt steak) and toshisal (butcher's cut) at 100g for ₩49,000 regular price, and jebichuri (chuck flap) at ₩42,000, while meal items run around the ₩10,000 range. Drinks also range widely from soju and beer to highballs, wine, and champagne, so it's great for pairing a nice drink with your meal :)

They say if you write a Naver receipt review with 3 photos attached, they'll give you red wine (worth ₩50,000) or jebichuri 100g, once per table :) There's also a birthday event with a glass of wine and birthday prop rentals, so keep it in mind if you're visiting for a special day~!

Ansangsal, toshisal and jebichuri grilled at your table
Mungjji ordered one serving each of ansangsal, toshisal, and jebichuri to try each cut.

Each cut was plated attractively, with clear marbling and a fresh-looking color to the meat.
Shiitake mushrooms, sweet pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, and scallops came along with it too, making for a pretty hearty and impressive spread on the grill.

What I loved most was that a staff member grills the meat for you! No worrying about ruining good beef by touching it myself — they grill it to the perfect timing, so all you have to do is enjoy it, haha.

First, the ansangsal was really juicy, with deep beefy flavor that came through more the more I chewed.

It had a nicely chewy grain without being tough, staying tender — the flavor spread out savory with each chew!

The toshisal wasn't overly marbled, with tender texture and a deep savory umami flavor.

The juice that came out moist with the first bite was seriously... I kept taking photos but my chopsticks kept speeding up too, haha.

And the jebichuri was relatively light while still having a good chew to it! Rather than meat that's just soft, it was fun enjoying the chewy texture along with the meaty aroma.
The sides they grilled alongside the meat were a treat too. Especially loading a scallop with beef and shiitake mushroom all at once — the juice, chewy texture, and mushroom aroma all hit at once in one bite, and I loved that combo so much T.T

Finishing with seafood doenjang stew and gopchang gim
It'd be a shame to stop after eating all that beef. The real Korean finish is rice and doenjang (soybean paste) stew, right? Haha.
The seafood doenjang stew has adjustable spice level, so we asked for it spicy.

Loaded with various vegetables and seafood, the broth was refreshing yet savory, and with the added spiciness, it was exactly right after all that beef.

It felt like it cleaned up the greasiness in my mouth, so even though I was full, my spoon kept going back, haha.

On top of that, crispy-grilled gopchang gim (crispy seasoned seaweed) came out with soy sauce, and this was seriously a treat... wrap a spoonful of rice in gopchang gim, dip it lightly in soy sauce — sounds so simple but I don't know why it's this delicious, haha. A bite of stew, a bite of rice wrapped in gim, back to a bite of stew — once you're on that route, you briefly forget you're full.

They even bring out dessert as the meal wraps up... totally touched T.T
When is Psyche worth booking?
Psyche was a Jinju beef restaurant where I could comfortably enjoy quality beef grilled for me in a luxurious, private room. From the side dishes to the beef to the meal, everything was made with care, so I felt genuinely well taken care of. It's a great spot to visit in Jinju when you want to set the mood for a date, anniversary, or family gathering :)
