Today's review is of Morang Haemul Sotbap, a rice restaurant near Jungja Station~ I visited with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and let me tell you, the seafood in this pot rice is seriously loaded! I brought back a review fresh off the stove. So here goes my review of Morang Haemul Sotbap, a Jungja Station favorite❤️

Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch is at 197 Jeongja-il-ro, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, South Korea, on the 2nd floor of Prugio City 2. For parking, you can use the basement level 1 lot at Prugio City 2 for 3 hours free, and if B1 is full, just park on B2-B4 and come up.

Morang Haemul Sotbap is located near Jungja Station! Coming out of Exit 4 (Suin-Bundang Line) or Exit 5 (Sinbundang Line) gets you there quickly.
From Sinbundang Line Exit 5 it's about a 4-minute walk~ super convenient by public transit! Parking is also available so driving over is comfortable too.
It's located on the 2nd floor of a commercial building in front of an apartment complex.
It's on a main street so it wasn't hard to find at all~

Inside Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch, it's calm with slightly dim lighting for an upscale mood. Wait, is this really a pot rice place?
The atmosphere was calm! The slightly dim lighting made it feel really upscale~
The exterior already had that upscale vibe, but the inside was even more atmospheric~~ I thought it'd be great for family gatherings, group meetups, or hosting guests.

There were many kinds of sotbap (pot rice)~ and quite a few types of jeon (savory pancake) too! There were also other side dishes like stir-fried pork belly with shishito peppers.
What we ordered: octopus and scallop sotbap, seafood sotbap and seafood pajeon
At Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch, the two of us ordered octopus scallop sotbap, seafood sotbap, and seafood pajeon.
Seafood pajeon, 22,000 won
The seafood pajeon (savory seafood pancake) came out first! The visuals were insane, honestly. Colorful and looked so tasty, and you could see it was packed with seafood. Ugh, the crispiness was seriously incredible! A thick pancake stuffed with seafood — genuinely delicious.
Octopus and scallop sotbap, 16,000 won
This is the octopus scallop sotbap I ordered! It came out looking so neat and well put together.
Four kinds of side dishes and soup come with it~ dishes you can enjoy alongside the sotbap!
You can tell just by looking that the amount of octopus and scallop in this sotbap is substantial, right?
There's no way this combination could taste bad... Underneath there's potato soaked in sauce too. Mix it all together and it's just paradise. No fishy taste from the octopus or scallop at all — they went so well with the rice! The sotbap sauce was so good that the whole meal disappeared in no time haha
Seafood sotbap, 15,000 won
This is the seafood sotbap my friend ordered!
Can you see how packed it is with seafood? So many different kinds went in. The harmony between the seafood and rice was really great too! Once you take a bite, the spoon just doesn't stop..haha
Eating the sotbap while taking bites of pajeon in between makes for such a perfect meal!! The pajeon is truly delicious, so I recommend getting one if you visit haha. At lunch it seems you can order just half a pajeon too! Good to keep in mind haha
The store atmosphere was really great and the food came out so neatly presented, so satisfaction was high~~ It seemed especially good for family gatherings or group meetups! I'm planning to bring my parents next time haha
