Pangyo beauty store with 250 brands: URANG Yuzu Vita Ampoule at KHODE

I went to check out Khóde, the new spot at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo. If you're into beauty, there's honestly a lot to browse here 🩵

What kind of store is KHODE at Hyundai Pangyo?

Khóde is the first beauty concept store Hyundai Department Store has opened on the basement floor of its Pangyo branch — a space curating about 250 hand-picked brands centered on dermo-cosmetics, plus functional hair and body care.

Being able to compare and actually test products I'd only seen online in one place was definitely a plus.

I wondered what exactly Khóde was, and the easiest way to describe it is a kind of 'premium Olive Young made by a department store.' It's less a fully mass-market H&B store like Olive Young and more a beauty concept shop where you browse department-store-curated brands all in one place.

You don't have to hunt down each brand's own store — you can compare by category, like skincare, cleansing, or sheet masks, which makes browsing genuinely fun. I especially liked getting to test brands I'd only seen online before.

It opened on 9/18, and I went that same day — it was packed with people.

There were a lot of brands I'd never heard of, plus some pretty interesting products, so I lost track of time browsing 👀

Finding the URANG corner inside KHODE Pangyo

While browsing the store I spotted a familiar brand — URANG! Since I'd just been given products from this brand to try, I paid extra attention to what they had in-store.

I got to see the Natural Cleansing Oil in person over in the cleansing section.

URANG is a Korean premium skincare brand built around carefully selected organic ingredients. The story goes that the founder started studying cosmetic ingredients, chemistry, and fragrance — and even got certified as an aromatherapist — after her first pregnancy, and began making products for her own family from there.

Knowing it started from making things for family made me think they must have been really careful about it, and packed in plenty of good ingredients 💚

The QR code on the URANG box was a playlist

While looking into URANG I found a pretty cute (?) piece of brand philosophy. 🎧 Made With Love & Music. Each product box has a QR code — at first I assumed it was just a link to the product description! But looking closer, the box said this:

This product was made while listening to this playlist. We make good organic cosmetics while listening to beautiful music.

I thought, 'wow, URANG really came out of some pretty hip, cool playlists' haha. I'd recommend playing music while reading this post ♬

URANG Natural Cleansing Oil 150ml: ingredients and certification

URANG Natural Cleansing Oil 150ml is currently sold on the brand's official store, marketed as a gentle, low-irritation cleansing oil.

Checking the full ingredient list printed on the box: Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Polyglyceryl-2 Sesquioleate, Polyglyceryl-10 Decaoleate, Polyglyceryl-10 Caprylate/Caprate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Palmitoyl Peach Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, and Linalool. The package also carries a COSMOS ORGANIC certification mark.

That's all the product description — what matters is whether it actually removes makeup well!!

Cleansing test: can the URANG oil remove gel eyeliner?

I drew a swipe of gel eyeliner — the kind that usually doesn't come off easily — on the back of my hand to test it.

First I put the cleansing oil straight onto dry skin and rubbed gently... and huh? It barely budged. After just a few swipes of oil, I was thinking, 'wait, is this thing not going to come off?' 🙊

But once I kept rolling it in properly, then added a bit of water to emulsify and rubbed again, it slowly started to fade, and by the end I could actually watch the eyeliner disappear.

So personally, I felt like this isn't a product you should just swipe on, rub a few times, and rinse — it really matters to do it properly: enough rolling → adding water to emulsify thoroughly → rinsing. Especially on days with waterproof or long-wear point makeup, it's worth being more thorough. I also felt better doing a second cleanse with a foam cleanser afterward!

So by my own test, this isn't a 'touch it and makeup's instantly gone' kind of product — it's the type that cleans once you roll and emulsify it properly. Rather than saying it's automatically great just because it was gifted, I wanted to leave this honest note here :) 😝

URANG Yuzu Vita Ampoule 35ml: a scent just like yuzu tea

I got completely hooked on the URANG Yuzu Vita Ampoule 35ml because of the scent!!! It's currently sold for ₩59,000 on URANG's official store, marketed by the brand as a brightening care product for dark spots.

Looking at the full ingredient list on the box, the first ingredient already stands out. Starting with 86.5% Citrus Junos (Yuzu) Water, it's followed by Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Citrus Junos Seed Oil, Betaine, Squalane, Alpha-Bisabolol, Matricaria Flower Extract, Grape Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Junos Peel Oil, Glyceryl Caprylate, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Caprylyl Glycol, Purified Water, Limonene, and Linalool. The package notes 100% naturally derived ingredients, a high content of organic yuzu water, and a boost of natural vitamin energy.

I tried the ampoule on its own first, without mixing it with anything else.

The scent is just too good 🍋 The first thing I noticed after opening the cap wasn't the efficacy, it was the smell haha. A genuinely refreshing yuzu scent rushes up — not like an artificial lemon-candy smell, but personally it immediately brought to mind warm yuzu tea. A sweet-and-sour scent that made me want to eat it...

Since Citrus Junos Peel Oil is in the ingredient list along with Limonene and Linalool, anyone sensitive to fragrance should keep that in mind. You can use it alone, but according to the brand's instructions, you can also mix it with URANG's oil serum.

Personally, it's too early after just a few days of use to say whether my skin tone or dark spots have changed — that kind of judgment should come after longer-term use! What I can say for sure right now is that the yuzu scent was really my thing 🍋💛 and being 100% naturally derived ingredients made it feel trustworthy.

What both URANG products were like after a home test

Seeing URANG's products in person at Khóde and then actually using two of them at home gave me a pretty clear sense of the brand's identity. The Natural Cleansing Oil, when I tested it myself with gel eyeliner, was a product where thorough rolling and emulsifying really mattered. The Yuzu Vita Ampoule isn't at the stage yet where I can talk about long-term skin changes, but its distinctly refreshing yuzu scent and unique concept stuck with me 💛

What really surprised me was that they'd even attached playlists to the products (I was scribbling away on this blog post while listening to URANG's playlist too ✍🏻~~). Never expected to end up listening to music while unboxing cosmetics..!!

Rather than just pushing ingredients, this felt like a brand that turned even the making and using of a product into an experience — that impressed me quite a bit. I'm planning to use the cleansing oil more carefully on makeup days going forward with thorough emulsifying, and I'll keep using the Yuzu Vita Ampoule too. Especially the ampoule — since the scent is exactly my thing, I feel like I'll reach for it often 🍋 Next time I want to try mixing it with URANG's oil serum too.

And if you've been curious about URANG but hesitant to just buy online, I'd recommend seeing and testing the products in person at Khóde, Hyundai Department Store Pangyo. It was my first time visiting Khóde itself, and it really does feel like a premium Olive Young (?) inside a department store — if you enjoy browsing beauty products, time disappears there.
