Where is Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch, and is there parking?

Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch is an Indian restaurant on the basement floor of Dongyang Paragon Bldg. 105, 230 Jeongja-illo, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open daily 11:00–21:30 (last order 21:00), and there's 2 hours of free parking in the building.

Kari, the well-known Indian restaurant on Jeongja-dong's café street, is located in the Dongyang Paragon building. I didn't drive, but since it's a large building, parking should be easy — and you get 2 hours free with a meal 👍🏻

The restaurant is on B1, but there's a big sign on the ground floor so it's not hard to find 😉 At Kari, the curries and naan are made by chefs who trained in India, apparently with experience at 5-star hotels there. Excited already 🥰

Down the stairs, and there it is — "Kari" 😍

What really caught my eye was the number of Blue Ribbon awards — nine years running as of 2026, which is impressive!!👍🏻👍🏻

Inside Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch: seating for families

Inside, Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch is split into a partitioned area and a larger open main space. It gets pretty busy at lunch — there were even waiting chairs set up outside.

Fun fact: "kari" originally means "sauce," while "curry" is the English-ized version — in India itself, it's called "kari." Good bit of trivia to know 😉

The interior is roughly two spaces — one side has this partitioned seating area.

This is the main space, and it's pretty spacious and comfortable, right? I visited around 7pm on a weekday, and it filled up quite a bit not long after.

Framed art with an Indian feel was placed here and there for atmosphere, and right in the middle was a Taj Mahal decoration that really nailed the vibe.

They also have draft beer, so this could work well as a dinner gathering or after-work spot too!

You order via QR code, and there's a call button for staff — pretty convenient, and a bit rare to see these days.

The menu at Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch covers curries, biryani, naan & rice, appetizers, salads, tandoori and BBQ, dosa, and drinks & alcohol. There's a weekend lunch course from 11:00–15:00, plus a couple set and a family set.

There's also biryani, naan & rice, appetizers and salads, tandoori and BBQ, and dosa.

Chicken korma, shrimp makhani and three kinds of naan

At Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch we ordered chicken korma ₩19,000, shrimp makhani ₩19,000, two plain naans at ₩3,000 each, garlic naan ₩3,500, and butter naan ₩3,500. We got all three naan types at once to compare flavors with the kids.

First the curries came out, kept warm with a small flame underneath. Makhani on the left, korma curry on the right — you can really see the color difference.

We first ordered the shrimp makhani, and it was a curry where the tang of tomato and the softness of the cream blended really well.

The shrimp were quite large so it had a nice bite, and piled onto naan, it's the kind of flavor you can eat endlessly 💕

Is the chicken korma mild enough for a 7-year-old?

Next, we ordered the sweeter korma for the kids. The chicken korma had tender chicken and a nice mild, sweetish curry flavor. I always worry about taking kids out for curry, but this had zero spice, so even my 7-year-old ate it up happily.

Plain naan vs garlic naan vs butter naan: what is the difference?

The kids said the "plain naan" was the best of the three — in their words, it was the chewiest and tastiest!

The size was really generous, which I loved. Garlic naan on the left and butter naan on the right — compared to plain naan, both had a bit more crispness, and the butter naan had a slight sweetness.

Tear off pieces and dip them in the curry, and you just keep eating and eating 🥰
