In short

Anma Jogyok Cafe Manjok is a café in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeonbuk, offering aroma foot baths and shoulder massages with hanok views. We enjoyed a private session with our dog Ppoppo, plus Americano coffees, for 15,000 won per person. A wonderfully relaxing stop during a Jeonju Hanok Village trip!

What does the foot bath and shoulder massage course include?

The healing course includes a 30-minute aroma foot bath, shoulder massage, and a drink, while a 30-minute shoulder massage is ₩4,000. Americanos, ramie leaf tea, persimmon leaf mint tea, burdock tea, and peach or lemon iced tea are all free! Such amazing value, right? Haha. And this is a café inside the hanok village, haha.

It was even featured on the TV show Sixth Sense! Haha, I used to enjoy watching Sixth Sense. It appeared as a totally wild(?) foot bath café, hahaha. A healing hotspot in Jeonju, haha.

The entrance and interior of this Jeonju Hanok Village café

The way in was so cute and pretty, haha. A photo spot!!! Haha.

Café entrance photo spot

There was also a full-length mirror photo spot like this, haha. I skipped it because I gained weight, sob sob, hahaha.

You need to go up to the second floor by stairs! Please be careful going up, haha.

Stairs leading to the café's second floor

This is the café interior! I loved that the café had separated sections, making it perfect for foot baths and shoulder massages, haha. The sofa seats were very comfortable and the view was so good, haha. A hanok view! As you would expect from a Jeonju Hanok Village café, the hanok view was wonderful!

There were celebrity signatures too, haha.

Counter and shoulder massage machine area

There was the counter, shoulder massage machines, a water dispenser, a coffee machine, and more. The staff bring your drinks! They said to let them know if we finished and wanted more, haha. You can choose either a single or double shot for your iced Americano too, haha. There was also a changing room. I did not photograph it, but there was a restroom beside it too! Two stalls!

Area for changing into slippers

Our private foot bath spot with our dog

When you first arrive, you change into slippers! Take off your socks too if you are wearing them, haha. It is easiest to put them inside your shoes, haha.

My husband and I, along with our dog Ppoppo, were shown to this spot! It was nice to have a private space just for us. The view over the hanok village was healing too, haha. Ppoppo liked it as well, haha.

The staff explained everything so kindly, and you choose between lavender and rose peppermint! My husband and I chose the 30-minute aroma foot bath, shoulder massage, and drink course for ₩15,000. Since there were two of us, the total was ₩30,000.

Using the aroma foot bath course

My husband chose lavender, which is good for insomnia, and I chose rose, which helps relieve stress! The staff sprinkled them into the foot bath machines and kindly showed us how to use both the foot bath machines and the shoulder massagers. They said the foot bath machines go up to 42°C! If one turns off midway, you can just turn it back on! Haha.

Café review event information
Café products for sale and review event

You can get ₩1,000 off by doing the Manjok review event and posting a photo review of your Naver receipt! Haha, definitely try it! Haha. The massage machines and foot bath machines are a little cheaper if you pay in cash, haha. They also sell teas, foot bath products, hand acupressure tools, and even cooling pants! Haha.

My husband and I chose iced Americanos from the complimentary drinks! You can choose regular or strong, and a single or double shot. We just chose regular! A single shot! My husband likes mild iced Americanos, hahaha. I cannot really drink strong coffee either, hahaha. When we lived in Vietnam, they sold lots of mild iced Americanos, but they were so watery, hahaha. When we came back to Korea, we drank only strong ones, but now that it has been a year, we have gone back to mild coffee, hahaha.

Complimentary Americano

The kind staff even brought Ppoppo a chair, haha. We had a bag, so she could have stayed on the floor, but Ppoppo does not move around much, haha. Such a grandma, hahaha. She has been having a hard time lately because of a disc problem, sob sob. Getting old is hard for both people and animals, right? Sob.

Getting a shoulder massage at the same time as the foot bath

This is the shoulder massager, and the staff kindly told us to press the middle button if it turned off! It is a versatile massager that can do your back and waist too if you lower it, even though it is for the shoulders, hahaha. It felt so refreshing, haha. We did our shoulders at the same time as our feet.

Using the shoulder massager and foot bath

It was so healing to look at this hanok village view, haha. Just like on Sixth Sense, it really was a Jeonju healing hotspot, haha.

Enjoying a foot bath with a hanok village view

Drinking our iced Americanos, haha. It was a little hot that day during the daytime, haha. This was the first time all 2.5 members of our family got massages together in Korea, hahaha. Ppoppo was only watching, hahaha. Ppoppo is the 0.5, hahaha. My husband will not count her as one, hahaha.

Drying feet after the foot bath

When your time is up, dry your feet with a towel. When you come out, there is foot cream at the middle seat inside the café! It says not to apply it to the soles of your feet! Just the tops of your feet! And your toes, hahaha. Did I apply it out of habit? Hahaha. They apply it during massages in Vietnam, so hahaha. I cannot remember, hahaha. I was so excited to be traveling that I was all over the place, hahaha. We had to head to our accommodation for the next stop, hahaha. We came away so relaxed, haha. If you come to Jeonju, I highly recommend getting a massage at Anma Jogyok Cafe Manjok!!!
