In short
Yuyu Shabu Naju Innovation City branch is a Japanese-style shabu-shabu restaurant on Baemet 1-gil in Naju's Innovation City (Bitgaram-dong), Jeollanam-do. At Yuyu Shabu, diners boil self-bar vegetables with fish cake, shrimp, rice cake and dumplings, dip everything in an egg yolk sauce, then close the course with the kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and egg porridge that come included. Japanese-style storefront and wood-toned dining room
Arriving at the ground floor, the clean, atmospheric Yuyu Shabu exterior appears — ta-da! 🌿✨ The neat, cozy Japanese-style entrance was so pretty that I felt my mood lift the moment I walked in, haha ☺️

Stepping inside, the interior was seriously clean and pleasant ✨

The tables were spaced out generously, so I never felt cramped the whole meal, and the warm wood-toned interior made everything feel extra cozy 💖
Basic Shabu, Yuyu Shabu or Half-and-Half Shabu: what's the difference?

Here's Yuyu Shabu's carefully put-together menu 📖✨

The difference between Basic Shabu and Yuyu Shabu is that Yuyu Shabu adds shrimp skewers and fish cake skewers on top of the basic broth, meat, vegetables, mushrooms, rice cake, and fried tofu set. Half-and-Half Shabu lets you choose two broths in one pot, and the fan mussel or conger eel shabu versions add those ingredients respectively. There's also a solid lineup of extra menu items, sides, and drinks >.<

How to eat shabu-shabu at Yuyu Shabu
- Bring the broth to a boil
- Once boiling, add the fish cake and shrimp
- Add the various vegetables and mushrooms
- Once the vegetables are nearly cooked, add the meat and dip it in sauce
- Finish with the delicious porridge
Side dishes and sauces that come with Yuyu Shabu

The basic side dishes and sauces arrive neatly set out after ordering 💕 They pair perfectly with the shabu-shabu meat and vegetables, and there's enough sauce variety that you won't get bored.
Self-bar vegetables and the main pot dipped in egg yolk sauce

And finally, today's post's main event has arrived! The kalguksu even comes included +.+

The basic vegetables and extra sauces are all generously stocked at the self-bar, so there's nothing to worry about there haha
First I added fish cake, carrot, mushrooms, fried tofu, dumplings, and sweet pumpkin. Then I threw in all the remaining mushrooms too. Added the napa cabbage and meat too — now just keep it boiling away!
Wow, seeing it boil away like this, how could your mouth not water? 😲 (Isn't the visual just insane?!)

Stir up the egg yolk mixed into the sauce, dunk the meat in deep, and take a bite — oh man, it's so good...👍🔥

The meat dipped in sauce is great, but honestly the fish cake dipped in sauce was just as amazing ㅠㅠ

The rice cake had a sweet filling inside too, so biting into it released this burst of sweetness — so good!!!

The dumplings and shrimp were really good too. There's definitely fun in trying all the different ingredients!

And the vegetables — where do I start. There were so many kinds of mushrooms that they enriched the broth while being incredibly savory on their own 💖 Sweet pumpkin and enoki mushrooms are a must, too.

Blanching the vegetables and meat lightly and dipping them right into the special sauce filled my mouth with the deep, savory flavor of the broth — genuinely all I could say was 'this is so good'... amazing...👍🔥
Finishing the course with kalguksu and egg porridge
Of course a shabu-shabu meal needs to end with kalguksu 💖 Take a bite of the chewy, boiling-hot noodles with a bit of kimchi and... ahh, pure bliss ㅠ_ㅠ As I always say, a Korean meal isn't complete without carbs at the end...!!

I finished with the egg porridge, and the nutty aroma of the egg was really lovely. Ah, I ate well right down to the last bite. Thank you, owner!

There's also an Instagram upload event and a Naver receipt review event running right now, so give those a look and join in 💖
