Where to park in Dunsan-dong: Plate Dunsan Branch uses the building's basement lot
Parking is always the thing I stress about when looking for a restaurant in Dunsan-dong. It feels like a hassle to bring a car on weekends especially, but Plate Dunsan Branch has building basement parking, which was great. The lot isn't huge, but just having somewhere to park in Dunsan-dong felt pretty convenient.
Plate Dunsan Branch is in the building right next to Galleria, so it wasn't hard to find. There are also plenty of cafés nearby, making it a good spot to pair with a café visit after the meal. After eating, I stopped by a nearby salt bread shop too — it's easy to line up a whole meal-plus-café course in Dunsan-dong.

Is there a wait at Plate Dunsan Branch on weekends?
I visited around 2pm on a weekend and waited about 10 minutes before getting in. Other groups kept coming in while I was eating, and it looked like they were waiting around 10 minutes too.
Dunsan-dong itself is a lively neighborhood packed with restaurants and cafés, so it's worth expecting some wait on weekends. There was group seating inside the store, but it wasn't being used as waiting seats during my visit. It would've been nice if that space could be used for waiting when it's empty — a small point I wished were different.

The menu at Plate Dunsan Branch felt complicated at first
The menu has more options than you'd expect at first glance, so it can feel a little overwhelming. Maybe because of that, staff walked me through how to choose when I first visited.

Prices overall weren't too heavy on the wallet, and adding 4,000 won got you a set menu. The set includes salad, bread, and corn soup, and I quite liked this combination.

Rather than just ordering pasta alone, being able to have salad, bread, and soup together works well if you like tasting a little bit of everything.
Choosing your pasta noodle at Plate Dunsan Branch
One thing that stood out at Plate Dunsan Branch was being able to choose the pasta noodle to your taste for each dish. Even the same pasta can have a different texture depending on the noodle, so it was fun to be able to pick the style I wanted.
I ordered three dishes: classic meatball Bolognese, scallop uni oil pasta, and creamy rosé pasta. I just went with the recommended numbers.

Classic meatball Bolognese with the 4,000 won set
The classic meatball Bolognese was the one I enjoyed most out of the three. The meatballs and Bolognese sauce paired really well, and personally it was the most satisfying dish.

Scallop uni oil pasta
The scallop uni oil pasta had a rich, deep oiliness to it. It was a little salty for my taste, though. Still, the noodles themselves were so good that I kept going back for more.

Creamy rosé pasta
The creamy rosé pasta was pleasant and easy to enjoy. If you prefer a gentle rosé pasta over something more intense, this one is a comfortable choice.

Above all, all three dishes used fresh noodles, giving them a chewy, soft texture quite different from regular dried noodles. I care a lot about the noodles themselves, so I especially liked that they were fresh.

Sunlit window seats at Plate Dunsan Branch

I wanted to get some nice photos, but the staff seemed busy and hadn't cleared some tables, so I ended up blurring a few spots haha. The interior was pretty clean overall, and the sunlight coming in through the windows looked lovely. Visiting during the daytime seems to make the whole atmosphere feel even more relaxing thanks to the natural light.
Is Plate Dunsan Branch worth it as a Dunsan-dong pasta restaurant?
Visiting on a weekend afternoon meant a short wait, but the good location, available parking, and reasonably priced set menu all left me satisfied.
If you're looking for Daejeon pasta and like fresh noodles, or you're searching for somewhere in Dunsan-dong to combine a meal with a café stop, this place is worth a visit.
If you like sharing several dishes like I do, I'd recommend adding the set for the salad, bread, and soup. After eating, there are cafés, bakeries, and Galleria nearby too, so keep it in mind if you're ever in Dunsan-dong.
