Yangju restaurant lunch: dakgalbi and makguksu at Seorak
In short
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch is a restaurant in Yangju, Gyeonggi, near Lakewood CC. Off to Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch (설악막국수춘천닭갈비 양주점) in Yangju for dakgalbi!

A weekday lunch with a friend, without the kids
Today was my first weekday off without the kids in ages. Being able to drop them off and go out for a meal with a friend on a weekday afternoon—this is a mom’s little happiness! Apparently, the place visible behind the parking lot is Lakewood CC at Yangju Golf Course.
My friend and I decided to have a delicious lunch for the first time in a while. While looking for a good place near Lakewood, I visited Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch, which was perfect for a lunch of dakgalbi (spicy grilled chicken) with makguksu (buckwheat noodles). Since I wasn’t with the kids that day, I ordered the red, spicy dakgalbi. And because makguksu is essential with dakgalbi, we ordered one spicy mixed bowl and one cold broth bowl.

As you’d expect from a restaurant near Lakewood at Yangju Golf Course, there were lots of golfers’ signatures on display. Even the water came neatly prepared in single-use bottles. There were high chairs and disposable aprons too, so it felt like a very clean place. Yangju dakgalbi—let’s dig in!

Dongchimi and the self-serve side-dish station
Soon after ordering, the side dishes began arriving one by one. There was a self-serve side-dish station, so we could easily get more, and the thing we both immediately said was delicious was the dongchimi (chilled radish-water kimchi). It was cool and clean-tasting, so I kept reaching for it with the dakgalbi. My friend and I kept eating it, saying we didn’t even need soda.

Relaxing charcoal dakgalbi grilled by the staff
The staff grilled the dakgalbi beautifully for us, which was so convenient. Restaurants that grill the meat for you are precious, right? We didn’t have to keep turning it over or checking whether it was cooked; it arrived ready to eat, so we could chat and enjoy our meal at ease. If you’re looking for a meat restaurant in Yangju where staff grill for you, take note!
Isn’t it the picture of neatness? When I go to restaurants with my child, I’m often so busy looking after the kids that I eat without even noticing my food has gone cold. But that day, for the first time in ages, I could really focus on the food. Weekday dining out as a mom is the best😉

Dakgalbi with cold broth and spicy mixed makguksu
The makguksu arrived. We ordered spicy mixed makguksu and cold broth makguksu from the dessert menu. After seasoned meat, one bite of the cool cold broth noodles cleansed the palate, while the spicy mixed noodles added a tangy note that went perfectly with the dakgalbi.
Having the dishes together made for a great flavor combination. If you’re looking near Lakewood for a place to eat dakgalbi and makguksu together, I think this one is worth a stop.

You can add the various seasonings provided at the table to your makguksu. You can tailor it to your own taste and make it even better.
The Yangju dakgalbi was more tender and soft than I expected, and I really enjoyed it. The seasoning had soaked into the meat well, so it was delicious on its own and also wrapped in ssam (lettuce wraps). The pickled radish wraps were especially good: their tanginess with the dakgalbi seasoning made a combination that never felt greasy, so I could keep eating.
As I ate, I thought of the kids. Next time, I’d like to come with them and order soy sauce dakgalbi. It felt like a nice Yangju restaurant for anyone looking for a family meal spot.
The meat was moist and tender, so I thought the kids would eat it well. Sometimes dry dakgalbi makes you not want dakgalbi at all, you know? This place was truly tender, tender, tender—I loved it.
Kimchi-filled buckwheat pancake from the review event
I heard that a Naver review gets you a buckwheat pancake, so I joined the review event too. The pancake was dotted with kimchi, so I could taste it in every bite, and the kimchi paired wonderfully with the mild, nutty flavor of the buckwheat pancake. It really felt like a properly satisfying lunch today.

A tasty Yangju dakgalbi restaurant I’d recommend near Lakewood.

Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch felt tidy and clean. They also had services such as phone charging, coffee, and candy available.

Soy sauce dakgalbi with the kids next time
This time I came with a friend, but I thought it would be great to bring the kids next time too. With children, I think ordering soy sauce dakgalbi and having the adults pair it with makguksu would be lovely.
Above all, Lakewood and Nari Park are nearby, making them nice to look around before or after your meal. This was Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch, a Yangju dakgalbi restaurant that came to mind when I craved dakgalbi in Yangju. If you’re looking for a hearty lunch or a family dining spot around Lakewood, enjoy a delicious meal with the dakgalbi-and-makguksu combination.
