A large Yangju galbi restaurant I came back to
The place I visited this time is Manpo Garden, a large galbi restaurant in Yangju! I reviewed it before, too. I came back because I remembered how satisfied I was after that visit. Manpo Garden has a large parking lot, so it is great to visit without worrying about parking.

There is a livestock cooperative building to the left of Manpo Garden. Is that why all the meat at Manpo Garden is so fresh?

Manpo Garden is quite a large restaurant in Yangju. It is not just big—the interior is neat, and there is no meat smell or grease hanging in the air, which has always made me happy.

Several private rooms for family gatherings
There are even several private rooms, so it is great for family gatherings. I struggled to find a venue for my parents' 60th-birthday celebration before, and now I am thinking, if only I had known about this place sooner ㅠ The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is nice, so I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a private-room restaurant in Yangju for a family gathering.

From Korean pork galbi to gabrisal
Manpo Garden's main menu includes handmade Korean pork galbi, charcoal-grilled Korean beef bulgogi, Korean beef sirloin, samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, gabrisal, and hangjeongsal (pork jowl). There is a good range of meats, and the prices are generally affordable too. The lunch specials are really inexpensive, and you get a ₩2,000 discount for writing a review, so give it a try.

We ordered two servings of handmade Korean pork galbi (₩19,000), one serving of gabrisal (₩21,000), steamed rice (₩1,000), one free dessert bibim-naengmyeon and one mul-naengmyeon, plus complimentary chadol doenjang-jjigae. Even with only this much, the three of us were absolutely stuffed.

Yukjeon and yukhoe as complimentary side dishes
Does an affordable price mean skimpy side dishes? Not at all. Along with side dishes that go perfectly with meat, they even serve yukjeon (pan-fried beef) and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) as complimentary sides! Every basic side dish was so delicious that I refilled them from the self-serve bar several times. I ate loads of salad too!

You can see how good the meat looks, right? The owner runs several restaurants, and I have never once been disappointed by the quality of the meat whenever I have visited any of them. It is always fresh and delicious, so I really enjoyed it.

A meal that satisfies both galbi and fresh-meat preferences
Honestly, I am not that into galbi and tend to prefer fresh meat, while my dad absolutely loves galbi. That is why I love Manpo Garden, a great Yangju spot for gatherings—it can meet both of our needs. The galbi was delicious with its fruit-based marinade, and the gabrisal was seriously so tender and tasty. The smoke is drawn downward too, so your face does not get hot, and it is nice for chatting over a meal.

Weekday reservation coupon for doenjang-jjigae
I visited on a weekday and used a Naver Reservation coupon to get doenjang-jjigae for free. The doenjang-jjigae quality at Manpo Garden is good. It has meat in it and a lightly spicy kick that makes you finish a whole bowl of rice in no time.
I think I would definitely order this even if I were paying out of pocket!

One free naengmyeon per person and dessert
Another unusual thing about Manpo Garden is that it gives you naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) for free. At other galbi restaurants, ordering naengmyeon costs at least ₩5,000 per bowl, but here you get one free naengmyeon per person...! They make the noodles in-house, too, so they were even chewier and more delicious.

And they even take care of dessert,,, You can put ice cream on ppeongtwigi (puffed rice snack), and there are cups of ice ready for iced Americanos. No need to go to a café..!!! At around ₩20,000 per person, they take care of everything from meat and naengmyeon to dessert—owner, is there anything left for you..?
Lastly, even the cleanliness...! The restroom is clean and nice, with dental floss and mouthwash available too. Manpo Garden, a private-room restaurant in Yangju—this is enough reason for me to come back, right?
