In short
Gyuen-dang Avenue France Gwanggyo Branch is a gyukatsu and omurice restaurant in Avenue France Gwanggyo Attijone, near Gwanggyo Jungang Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. Still thinking about the gyukatsu she ate in Japan, the writer ordered the tenderloin gyukatsu (24,000 won) and the hamburg omurice (17,000 won), and the best bite was beef grilled over the tabletop brazier with Isigny butter and dipped in the house special sauce. Gyuen-dang Avenue France, a Gwanggyo Jungang Station lunch spot!! Easy parking, great vibe, and a gyukatsu restaurant worth the visit.

The gyukatsu (breaded beef cutlet) I had in Japan kept coming back to me, so I went looking for a good gyukatsu restaurant and ended up at Gyuen-dang Avenue France Gwanggyo Branch. Great atmosphere, easy parking, and above all, the gyukatsu and omurice were incredibly good!! So today let me tell you about Gyuen-dang Avenue France Gwanggyo Branch, my pick for a Gwanggyo lunch spot~!
Where is Gyuen-dang Avenue France Gwanggyo, and where do you park?

Gyuen-dang is in Avenue France Gwanggyo Attijone near Gwanggyo Jungang Station in Suwon. It's also close to Ajou University. It's on the ground floor, though the elevator counts it as basement 1F.

The inside of Gyuen-dang felt just like a gyukatsu specialty shop in Japan. It's tidy and warm overall, so it seemed perfect for a date or a lunch with friends. The building's parking lot is spacious, so it was easy to visit by car, and with up to 4 hours of free parking, you can even wander around the area afterward!
What to order at Gyuen-dang

Gyuen-dang is a Japanese restaurant with gyukatsu and omurice as the mains. They specialize in gyukatsu, omurice, rice bowls, udon, and tempura. They also have highballs and draft beer, so it'd be great for a casual evening gathering or date too.

I ordered Gyuen-dang's signature tenderloin gyukatsu and hamburg omurice! They came out as a full set with cabbage salad, miso soup, and a few simple side dishes — neat and pretty, haha.
Tenderloin gyukatsu (24,000 won)

I'd had gyukatsu while traveling in Japan and it was so good it kept haunting me. So I came looking for a great gyukatsu restaurant, and after one bite I thought — I don't even need to go back to Japan for this anymore!!

There were detailed instructions on the table for how to enjoy the gyukatsu, which made it even more fun.

You place the meat on a hot brazier and lightly grill it to your liking. Maybe because it's tenderloin, the meat was truly, so soft it melted in my mouth, ugh. Crisp outside, tender inside, with the full flavor of the tenderloin still alive — it was delicious even plain.

Grilling it with butter added made the nutty flavor insane, ugh. It was even Isigny butter, so the rich aroma and taste burst through and brought out the meat's flavor even more.

Adding wasabi on top gave it a sharp kick that cut through the richness, so I could enjoy it cleanly.

Personally, the best combination was butter + the special sauce. The sweet and salty balance was just right and full of umami, pairing so well with the soft, nutty gyukatsu!
Hamburg omurice (17,000 won)

Everyone, the hamburg omurice is a must too. It was genuinely as delicious as the gyukatsu, ugh.
First, when you split the plump egg in half, the soft, jiggly egg inside spreads out gorgeously. Pouring the sauce over it makes it look so appetizing right off the bat.

Eating the rice, hamburg steak, and egg together in one bite — the soft egg wraps around everything, and the juicy hamburg and chewy fried rice spread through richly. The egg especially was extremely soft, moist, and jiggly, melting in my mouth, ugh.

The hamburg patty was genuinely thick and packed with juice, moist yet tender. The fried rice wasn't ordinary either — moist, chewy, and nutty vegetable fried rice that went perfectly with the hamburg and sauce.
