Jeongja-dong hair salon full dye in blue-mixed dark brown: Yeum Hair
In short
Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is a hair salon in Jeongja-dong, Seongnam, on the 4th floor of Baekgung Plaza 1, a 4-minute walk from Jeongja Station Exit 3. Senior designer Haneul did a full-head dye that evened out the color from roots to ends, mixing blue into the brown as requested to cancel yellow and red tones, and the result came out a calm dark brown rather than black. Yeum Hair uses vegan Milbon color and applies a scalp protector, and the smell was barely noticeable, though the scalp stung slightly from washing hair the day before.

Where is Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch in Jeongja-dong, and what are its hours?
Today I finally went to Yeum Hair in Jeongja-dong for a full head dye. It's just a 4-minute walk from Jeongja Station Exit 3, so it's really accessible!
They accept high oil price relief vouchers, regional currency, allow pets, are wheelchair accessible, have separate men's/women's restrooms, and offer parking (underground parking at Baekgung Plaza 1, entrance facing Bundang Police Station).
They're closed every Monday, and close at 7pm on Wednesdays only — every other day it's 10am to 8pm!

It's on the 4th floor of Baekgung Plaza 1. Get off the elevator, walk a bit, and you'll see a white wall — easy to spot.

What is the premium vegan color with Milbon products?
Premium vegan dye! They said they use Milbon products.

The director greeted me so kindly~

There were actual books instead of magazines! They were arranged so neatly I didn't dare touch one to read haha.

Consultation with senior designer Haneul about the full-head dye
After sitting down, I told designer Haneul what I wanted for the dye. Since I'd already been to a salon recently, I didn't need the full cut and clinic treatment, and I've been sticking with the same deep matte brown color (I'm a black-hater), so there wasn't much to think over.

We decided to dye the whole head so the top and bottom colors would match once the color faded, ending up the same shade as the roots now. She explained that right after a full dye, the top color would look similar to how it already was — the intended shade only shows once it fades. I always mix brown with blue to tone down yellow or red tints, so I specifically asked for that! I made sure to spell it out clearly because I was worried it wouldn't come out right otherwise haha.

Barley tea, nuts and cookies while you wait
They gave me cool barley tea, nuts, and two cookies. I hadn't eaten breakfast, so I was starving and finished the nuts in no time.

But get this — the package said cranberries had a higher ratio than black beans, yet when I opened it, there were way more black beans. I don't dislike black beans, but there were way too few cranberries!ㅠㅠ You really have to open the bag to find out the truth — kind of like life itself~ No matter how many times you double-check, something always slips through... (like forgetting my wallet at home, or booking without checking the exact extra charge for hair length regardless of designer level~)

How the dyeing went and how the scalp felt
After applying scalp protector, a staff member came and applied the dye. She kept wiping off any that got on my face in between!

The dye's chemical smell wasn't strong at all, but my scalp stung a little bit... ㅠㅠ I regretted showering the day before. Everyone, please don't wash your hair the day before a dye job!

This is the perm area! After the dye was applied, I waited about 20 minutes.

A head spa massage chair in the shampoo room
Three of the shampoo seats are regular chairs, but one is a massage chair for head spa customers! If you're getting a head spa, you get to enjoy the comfort of that massage chair!! Highly recommend!

The staff member on the left washed my hair, then two staff members dried it! Washing with cold water helped calm my scalp down!
Waiting for the blow-dry,,,

The dark brown result with blue mixed into the color
My hair looks much calmer overall, right?? Not black, dark brown! I think it came out really pretty!

It wasn't as dark as I expected. This brightness level feels just right! Of course, you only really see the true color once it fades a bit,,, so I'm praying it doesn't fade too much.

Just a note — senior designer Haneul is off every Sunday and Monday.

Inside Yeum Hair: clothes styler and locker room
They surprisingly had a clothes styler here! I don't usually store clothes separately, so I didn't use it, but I think it'd be great in winter when you take off your coat and hand it over.

The locker room is open and has a mirror too!

Something like this~ The curtain in the back was open so I asked them to close it haha. Gotta hide the storage area~

The final blow-dry and volume at the sides
I had plans in the evening, so designer Haneul shaped my side hair with the blow-dry! My head shape tends to look flat, so side volume is important for me — and sure enough, she said to always keep some volume at the sides too! Hoping the color lasts a long time.
