Palak paneer brunch course at Kari, Indian restaurant in Jeongja-dong
In short
Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch is an Indian restaurant in basement level 1 of Dongyang Paragon on the Jeongja Station café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. The ₩24,000-per-person brunch course brought a naan-wich (naan sandwich), potato soup, tandoori salad, and palak paneer and korma prawn eaten with butter naan and garlic naan, with a flame kept burning under the curry bowls so they stayed warm to the last bite. With 2-hour parking registration and private rooms, Kari is a solid course meal for a date or a family gathering in Bundang.

Where is Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch, and is there parking?
Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch is an Indian restaurant on B1 of the Dongyang Paragon building, near the café street by Jeongja Station. Parking registration gives you 2 hours, so we drove over.
Let me introduce Kari, a Jeongja Station spot in Bundang where my husband and I — both curry lovers — enjoyed Indian food like a full course meal. It's walkable from Jeongja Station, but the parking lot is so close to the restaurant that I'd fully recommend driving too.
There are entrances on both 1F and B1 — we parked and the store entrance was right there, which made getting in super convenient. Just seeing all the Blue Ribbon stickers plastered by the entrance gave off major 'this place is definitely above average' energy *_*

Inside Kari: dining halls and private rooms
Inside, Kari has several halls and a room along a single corridor, which looked great for dates or family gatherings. We'd reserved ahead, and our table was fully set up when we arrived.
My first impression was that it felt way too classy, clean, and the staff were way too kind to be just a curry place (in a good way).

Once you're seated, they bring you the menu and water. The interior and table service are super clean, and you can tell right away that the servers are true professionals...

What comes in the ₩24,000 brunch course at Kari?
Kari's brunch course is ₩24,000 per person, and since we came for lunch, we ordered this. Every table has a QR code for ordering directly, and you can also just ask the servers about any menu item you're curious about.
The course composition is so good that I'd recommend it over à la carte pretty much every time. There's also a couple set and a family set if you're coming with a bigger group, so it's easy to pick something that fits. The spacious interior, which looks like it can seat quite a lot of people, helps too!

Two included drinks: strawberry lassi and Coke Zero
The brunch course includes a choice of two drinks, so we ordered strawberry lassi and Coke Zero. The lassi was exactly as sweet as you'd expect — I started to feel a little full after drinking it steadily, so I set it down. The portion is huge ☆

Starters: naan-wich (naan sandwich) and potato soup
First up as appetizers were potato soup and a sandwich wrapped in naan (naan + sandwich = 'naan-wich'). The soup tasted absolutely nothing like the store-bought kind — it clearly had actual grated potato in it!
Inside the naan sandwich were tandoori chicken and deliciously savory cheese — so, so good ㅠㅠㅠ It was almost a shame it was just one per person, but there was still a lot more food to come, so ^=^

Tandoori salad at Kari
Next came the tandoori salad. Well-cooked tandoori chicken on skewers came out alongside salad, and we each had a skewer. I've had a few bad experiences with overcooked, tough tandoori chicken before, but this one was seriously cooked so tender...

Best curries at Kari: palak paneer and korma prawn
For curries, the two of us ordered palak paneer (the best menu item!) and korma prawn with shrimp. The palak paneer is green from the spinach and packed with cheese, and the korma was really tasty too ㅠㅠ — both were failproof choices, haha.

They come this generously filled. The portion would be plenty even with three naans instead of two. And unlike most curry places that just hand you the bowl and let it go cold, they place a flame under each curry, so we could eat it warm right to the end.

Piling it onto naan should honestly be illegal ㅠㅠ It's never greasy at all. It's savory from start to finish.

Butter naan vs garlic naan: which suits the curries?
We ordered one butter naan and one garlic naan. Honestly, eaten together with curry rather than on their own, you don't notice much of a difference — but taste them separately and you'll get it ㅎㅅㅎ They're also huge — here's a shot with my hand for scale ☆
Is Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch worth a second visit?
Since we love curry, we plan on stopping by again whenever the craving hits. Above all, the fact that it's a curry restaurant that's this clean and lets you enjoy everything like a proper course is its biggest strength, so I recommend it to everyone ^*^
