Exterior and parking

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch takes traditional Vietnamese pho and reworks it for Korean tastes — it's a genuine pho hotspot near Dongtan Station :)

They're open every day from 11am to 9pm, with a break time from 3pm to 5pm.

At Mibundang you order first at the kiosk out front — it reminded me a bit of ramen shops in Japan haha.

How long was the wait at 7pm on a weekday?
I showed up around 7pm on a weekday and there were already about 4-5 parties waiting. There was a jujube tea station out front for people waiting, which showed a really thoughtful touch from the owner.

It looked like they even set out parasols during the day. With about 5 parties ahead of us, the turnover was still fast, so we were seated after about 15 minutes.
Interior and menu — counter seating good for solo diners

The whole restaurant is a single row of counter seating facing the open kitchen, so it felt comfortable even for eating alone. The overall wood-tone interior with soft lighting gave it a warm, cozy feel.

Each seat had everything you'd need already set up, which was convenient. There was a drawer under the table neatly stocked with small plates and utensils, and a shelf overhead with hoisin sauce, hot sauce, and chili sauce — perfect to pair with pho.
There were also hooks on the wall for coats and bags, which felt like a smart use of a tight space.

📋The menu📋 is broadly split into pho and fried items. The pho comes in several versions depending on the combination of brisket, brisket point, and tendon toppings, so you can pick to your taste, and there's a good range of fried sides too — sweet potato spring rolls, scallop spring rolls, shrimp potato rolls, wedding shumai, buffalo wings, and more.
We ordered ✔️ brisket pho ✔️ brisket-and-tendon pho ✔️ assorted fried appetizer platter ❤️🔥 It was great being able to pick our own meat topping combo for the pho, and since we wanted to try a bunch of the fried items at once, we added the assorted platter as a side 🍜
Food photos — table setup and the open kitchen

Once we sat down, the bar table already had onions, pickled radish, pickled chilis, small plates, and water neatly laid out.

Because of the counter seating, the kitchen was open and we could watch the cooking happen right in front of us. As soon as our order went in, the staff moved really quickly, and the food came out much faster than I expected. What stood out most was that even with the whole cooking space in view, it was kept spotless — fast service and a clean kitchen, both very satisfying 😊

How was the brisket and brisket-tendon pho?
The pho finally arrived! It came piled with a really generous amount of bean sprouts, topped with brisket, brisket point, and even beef tendon. We both went "wow, this is good!" from the very first bite 🫶🏻

I took a spoonful of the broth first — it had a deep, rich umami flavor but wasn't heavy or greasy, just clean. There was a subtle hint of spice along with the crisp, refreshing crunch of the bean sprouts, which made the broth the kind you keep wanting more of.

The meat portion was generous too, so eating it together with the broth made for a really full bowl, and the bean sprouts helped cut through the richness of the meat every so often. My boyfriend especially loved the noodles, saying they were exactly his style — they soaked up the broth well without getting mushy, staying chewy in a really satisfying way.

How to mix it with hoisin sauce and hot sauce
Following the instructions written on the table, we scooped noodles, bean sprouts, and meat into a small plate, added onion, and mixed it with hot sauce and hoisin sauce. It tasted completely different from eating it in the broth — the spicy, salty kick from the sauce made it much bolder and richer. We put in a bit too much sauce and it ended up pretty intense 😂 so I'd recommend adding it little by little rather than dumping it all in at once, adjusting to your taste. If you like bold, spicy flavors, you'll probably love eating it this way! Personally I preferred it with just a touch of sauce haha.

Free refills of noodles and bean sprouts
One more great thing about Mibundang: you can get free refills of noodles and bean sprouts 👏 If the portion isn't enough, you can add more without worrying about extra cost, which is great news especially for big eaters. My boyfriend clearly loved the pho — he kept saying how good it was the whole meal, and ended up refilling both the noodles and bean sprouts 😂 The portions were already generous to begin with, and with free refills on top, this really felt like a pho restaurant near Dongtan Station where you can eat until you're full 🍜

What's in the assorted appetizer platter, and my pick
The assorted platter came with 2 buffalo wings, 2 wedding shumai, 2 shrimp potato rolls, 1 sweet potato spring roll, and 1 scallop spring roll, so we got to try a good variety of fried items.

Of everything, the shrimp potato roll was my favorite! It's a plump shrimp wrapped in thin-sliced potato strands — the outside was crispy while the inside had a plump, chewy shrimp, and the texture combo was really nice. The crunchy potato and springy shrimp worked better together than I expected, and it was the most memorable item on the platter 😋 If I come back, I'll definitely order the shrimp potato rolls again!
Final thoughts — would I go back for pho near Dongtan Station?
I went looking for a good pho restaurant near Dongtan Station and landed on Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch 🍜 You can choose your meat toppings from brisket, brisket point, and tendon, and with free refills on noodles and bean sprouts, it was a filling, satisfying meal.
The counter seating made it comfortable even for solo dining, and even with the open kitchen showing the whole cooking process, everything was kept impressively clean. We ordered the assorted platter alongside the pho, so we got to try a good variety, and the food came out quickly too — overall a really satisfying meal.
If you're looking for a good pho restaurant in Dongtan or a clean place to eat near Dongtan Station, I'd recommend Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch 🤍 We both left happy, and it's a pho place I'd want to come back to next time I'm near Dongtan Station 😊
