I was looking for a nice-atmosphere Italian restaurant in Haeundae and ended up at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch on Dalmaji-gil. I happened to arrive right as the sun was setting, so even the exterior looked gorgeous. 🌆 It seems like a great Haeundae Italian spot for a date or a get-together, so let me introduce it. 🤍

Where can you park?

Parking was super easy since the restaurant has its own private lot. I parked in the lot behind the building, and there's even an elevator straight up to the restaurant, which was really convenient. You can also park beside the building, in front, or along the curb across the street! 👍🏻

Two moods: the green hall and the yellow hall

The place is spacious and the interior is really pretty! The outer hall has a calm mood with green as the accent color. Go further inside and yellow takes over, giving it a fresher, warmer feel haha. There are lots of seating options, so you can pick whichever mood suits you.

With pasta, pizza, risotto and steak all on offer, there was plenty to pick from depending on your mood. There's also a Bueokgan couple's dish set, which seems perfect if you're visiting as a pair and want to try a variety of dishes. The drinks menu is varied too, with a especially wide wine selection, great for pairing wine with your meal.

Sweet potato fries 🍠

First time trying sweet potato fries here, and the portion was bigger than I expected. Crispy outside, moist inside — really delicious, and the natural sweetness of the sweet potato came through nicely. Satisfying dish! It felt more like fried squash-sweet-potato than the chestnut variety, haha.

Dipping them in the ketchup that came alongside worked surprisingly well too, haha. Definitely ordering this again next time.

Pepperoni pizza 🍕

The pepperoni pizza passed the visual test right away..! Piled high with pepperoni, salty and savory in the best way. The cheese itself was just so good! 🤤

The cheese had great flavor, and the pepperoni's salty kick paired perfectly with it. The crust on the bottom was baked nice and crispy too, which I loved, haha.

The hot sauce that came with it is Tabasco, but a different kind than the one we usually know?? It said 'green pepper' on it, and instead of being watery, it had more of a sauce-like texture! It's fresher and sharper than regular hot sauce, and it went really well with the pizza.

Vongole pasta

The vongole was an oil pasta where the savory flavor from the clams really came through. The chewy noodles were well coated in a salty yet clean sauce, and eating it together with the clams added even more depth — so good. 🤤

It wasn't overpowering, packed with clams and with a subtle spicy kick, so it never felt greasy the whole way through, haha.

The pickles that came with it were amazing too!!! 💕 Finished the meal off nice and refreshing with a Coke Zero. 😆

How was it for a date or family meal?

Above all, the staff were really kind and attentive. With a spacious, pretty space and such a varied menu, it's a solid Haeundae Italian restaurant for a date, family meal, or gathering.
