I had pho just two days ago, so why do I still keep wanting more and more pho? I really, really love pho, and I go absolutely crazy for places that give you cilantro. So Mibundang is somewhere I visit often ♥️ They give you unlimited cilantro, and I love it even more because it’s free.
A quiet solo pho meal near Dongtan Station

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, a Vietnamese pho specialist near Dongtan Station! Mibundang reimagines traditional Vietnamese pho for Korean tastes. With traditional Vietnamese food, Korean-friendly flavors, a Japanese-style atmosphere, and a Chinese-style name, it offers food and a cultural space that people with all kinds of tastes and personalities can enjoy :) It’s at Unit 109, 1F, Dongtan Station Richian Shopping Arcade, 495 Dongtan-daero, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
You all know Mibundang is designed for a quiet, comfortable meal, right? Talking isn’t completely forbidden inside, but I’d recommend keeping it from disturbing the people eating beside you~

You pay first at the front, wait, and go in when they call you. Mibundang is so popular that I think I’ve always had to wait at this Dongtan Station branch. Still, since it isn’t really a place for lots of chatting over a meal and drinks, the turnover is fairly quick.

Ordering beef brisket and tendon pho with an assorted platter
This time I ordered beef brisket and tendon pho, 13.0, and the assorted fried platter, 8.5.

How to enjoy pho deliciously
- Put some noodles, bean sprouts, and meat into your bowl, then mix in a little onion and hot sauce.
- Add about one circle of hot sauce to the noodles for a spicy kick!
- Put noodles, bean sprouts, and meat in your bowl, add cilantro, and mix it with hoisin sauce.
- Put scallions and hot sauce in the small bowl and mix them together.
I’m such a cilantro person that I asked for some, of course. The standard hot sauce and hoisin sauce are right there, as you can see above. Once you’re seated, they prepare your pho like this haha.

Mibundang’s pho portions are seriously huge lol. If everyone orders one menu, they’ll even refill your noodles and bean sprouts once, but honestly, the portion is so big that I’ve never managed to finish mine and get a refill ㅠㅠ I have finished it before, but making it to the refill too? Seriously… respect!!

You can tell just by looking that it’s a huge portion, can’t you? Hahaha. There are loads of noodles, bean sprouts, and meat, so when you’re really hungry, a bowl of Mibundang pho will fill you up properly.
At some pho places, you have to pay extra for cilantro. Whenever I go to a pho place, I always ask for cilantro at least twice, so I love that Mibundang near Dongtan Station gives it to you for free. And I’ll tell you how I like to eat it too, haha. First, try the pho as it is and enjoy its original flavor! Then do hot sauce and hoisin at about a 4:1 ratio? I swirl hot sauce around my bowl about four times and hoisin once, dip cilantro or danmuji (pickled radish) in it, place it over the pho, and take one big bite ><

It’s delicious just topped with cilantro and sauce, but it’s even better with onion or danmuji on the side hahaha. The onion-and-cilantro combination is especially my favorite. And if you like spicy food, Mibundang hot sauce is a must!

Getting greedy with an assorted platter for a solo meal
Honestly, when you’re eating alone, the assorted platter is a bit much lol. But I love sides too, and if you can try everything in an assortment, it makes you greedy, right? Plus, I already knew the assorted platter here was delicious ㅜㅜ So I just went for it hahaha.

You can try all of Mibundang’s sides in one generous spread: scallop chả giò (fried spring rolls), sweet potato chả giò, wedding shumai, potato-wrapped shrimp, and wings haha. It comes with sweet chili sauce too.

The chả giò are delicious too, but unlike the usual ones filled with pork, these have scallop or sweet potato, so they feel quite different from what I normally eat hahaha. And my favorite of the sides at Mibundang near Dongtan Station is the potato-wrapped shrimp! It’s so crispy, the shrimp inside is springy, and it’s the best.

Mibundang is a great place near Dongtan Station for eating alone. You can park in the building’s underground lot, and with its generous portions and great flavor, do make a visit when you need a solo meal~
