Today, I found a great pho spot in Dongtan for eating alone! You know those days when you really want pho, but somehow feel a little self-conscious about going to a popular restaurant by yourself? 😂 But when I visited Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch (미분당 동탄역점), it actually turned out to be such a great place for solo dining!
When the weather is chilly or I’m craving a filling meal, this is the kind of place where I can eat so happily. Let me introduce Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch~
Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch: location and hours

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is super close to Dongtan Station, and the interior is neat too! Mibundang is already well known for Vietnamese pho, so its sign was easy to spot at a glance.
You can park at Richian Shopping Arcade, with 1 hour free! If there’s a wait, they can register up to 1 hour and 30 minutes of parking.

- Hours: Mon–Sun 11:00–21:00
- Last order: 14:30 / 20:30
- Break time: 15:00–17:00
- Regular closure every Tuesday

At Mibundang, you order in front of the restaurant and they call you when it’s your turn! I also liked that they had hovenia tea ready for you to drink while you wait~
A quiet restaurant atmosphere that makes solo dining easy

The restaurant had a clean, comfortable atmosphere, so it was easy to eat without feeling pressured. The pho is especially set up like this so you can have a light solo meal! Maybe that’s why there were really so many people eating alone~ I’m actually not good at eating alone, but I think I could do it here ><

Mibundang’s concept is a space where anyone can eat in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere, so there’s a note asking guests to dine quietly. Even when you come with someone, you naturally eat quietly, and it really has such a nice atmosphere for solo dining.
The pho and side dishes we ordered

Mibundang has Vietnamese pho and side dishes~ There are five kinds of pho. I ordered the beef brisket pho, while my friend ordered Himjjul Pho (tendon pho). For sides, we ordered scallop chả giò (Vietnamese fried spring rolls) and potato-wrapped shrimp.
How did I eat the beef brisket pho?

There were instructions at every seat on how to enjoy Mibundang pho deliciously~ Read these well and dig in! Also, extra noodles are free when each person orders one meal.

The beef brisket pho 🍜 that I ordered! When it comes to pho, I just love that warm broth. It was clean-tasting but layered with savory flavor from the meat, and with both thinly sliced brisket and brisket in it, the broth felt deeper and more filling!

I loved that it came with both shredded brisket and thinly sliced brisket, and it was really tender! There were heaps of bean sprouts under the meat, plus noodles, so the portion was seriously huge and delicious. The noodles went so well with the broth that I was slurping it up and thought I’d clear the bowl in no time!!!! But the portion is reaaally big. They said the bean sprouts and noodles have unlimited refills, but I don’t think I’d ever need more... hahaha

And the Himjjul Pho my friend ordered! Even the name makes it sound like it would give you strength, and it had a totally different charm from the beef brisket pho~ I tried one piece of tendon, and it was nice, kind of like beef knuckle cartilage? Haha, next time I think I’ll order the one with tendon.

Each table has hot sauce and hoisin sauce, so you can mix them like this and have them with your pho~

And the scallop chả giò on the side had such a delicious crispy texture. I dipped it generously in chili sauce, and it was so good!!!!! The potato-wrapped shrimp 🍤 had shrimp tightly wrapped in potato, so it was crisp outside and the shrimp inside had such a lovely springy texture~
Both were so delicious that I’m wondering which of the two I should order next time...!!! When pho alone feels a little incomplete, one of these makes the perfect side, so I really recommend trying them ><
Above all, the pho at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch was so clean-tasting and delicious, with generous portions too~ The staff were also so kind, so I left after a really pleasant meal.
Especially if you’re looking for a great solo-dining spot in Dongtan or a great Dongtan pho restaurant, I totally recommend Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch 🩷 Another happy addition to my delicious Dongtan map today 🍰✨
