Allegro is a Songpa jazz bar with great vibes that I visited for my one-year anniversary.

Main image from a one-year anniversary visit to Allegro, a Songpa jazz bar

My boyfriend and I wanted to do something a little different for our one-year anniversary. I wanted good food, good atmosphere, and above all something that felt special since it was an anniversary — and Allegro checked all those boxes :)

Where is Allegro? 2 minutes from Songpanaru Station Exit 2

Allegro's address is 57-1 Olympic-ro 32-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, 3rd floor. It's a 2-minute walk from Songpanaru Station Exit 2, and since you can enjoy live jazz while eating, it's great for anniversaries or dates.

I'd recommend booking a reservation before you go!!

A one-year anniversary where we got to enjoy delicious food and a jazz performance together 💛

Allegro's biggest appeal is that it's not just a place to eat — you get a live performance alongside your meal!

The day we visited, the Idaun Trio was performing — the woman played piano and sang, and listening while eating made the whole atmosphere feel amazing!

It didn't feel like we were just watching a show — we could take our time with the food, catch bits of the performance in between, and chat with each other, which felt exactly like an anniversary evening 🥹 We ended up sitting there more leisurely than usual, haha.

🍽️ What we ordered: polpo, vongole and burrata salad

Pollo, vongole, and burrata salad ordered at the table
  • Pollo ₩34,000
  • Vongole ₩20,000
  • Burrata Salad ₩25,000

This is what we ordered! Instead of sticking to one style of dish, we went across the board — salad, pasta, and octopus.

The pre-meal bread came out first! Still warm.

🐙 Polpo (grilled octopus), 34,000 won

Tender octopus grilled crispy, served with romesco sauce

Pollo came out first! The octopus was grilled crispy on the outside while staying tender inside, so the texture was great 👍

Eating it with the romesco sauce especially worked well — the sauce added to the octopus's clean flavor!! My boyfriend, who loves octopus dishes, ate it up happily haha. I think I'll definitely order pollo again next time.

🍝 Vongole, 20,000 won

An oil pasta with the flavor of fresh clams and white wine

The vongole had a clean oil-pasta feel! It had clams in it, and the white wine flavor came through subtly, so it wasn't greasy and was easy to eat and light. Eating pasta while listening to jazz felt different from the pasta I usually eat lol. You know how food just tastes better in a setting like that...?

🍅🍇 Burrata salad, 25,000 won

Burrata cheese + seasonal fruit + white balsamic + cherry tomato basil vinaigrette

And the burrata salad, which I secretly loved! The seasonal fruit included tomato and Shine Muscat grapes. The soft, nutty flavor of the burrata cheese combined with the tangy sweetness of the tomato and Shine Muscat, and the combination was better than I expected.

The refreshing taste of the white balsamic added to it, making it great to eat between other dishes! In particular, the Shine Muscat made it feel a bit more special than a typical burrata salad 🍇

🎂 The anniversary lettering dessert we requested in advance

Plate with a lit candle for the one-year anniversary lettering dessert
Sugar-coated crème brûlée next to the lettering dessert

And the real highlight of the day...💛 Since it was our one-year anniversary, we'd requested lettering in advance. After the meal, dessert came out — they'd even put a candle on it and prepared the anniversary lettering 🥹

Next to it was crème brûlée with a sugar coating on top, and having it prepared so nicely was genuinely touching... They took photos for us too lol. We blew out the candle together and properly celebrated our one-year anniversary. Beyond just eating a meal and leaving, adding a small event like this for the anniversary definitely made it a night to remember! The best.

🎶 Idaun Trio live: how the jazz set made the evening

The food was good overall, and being able to enjoy live jazz alongside it was the best part. Since it was my one-year anniversary with my boyfriend, I wanted a slightly special evening, and eating great food, watching a performance, and finishing with the lettering dessert made the whole atmosphere of the night feel really good 🤍

Especially with live music — hearing it in person while eating, in the space itself, felt completely different from watching a video. I think it's worth visiting once if you're looking for an anniversary date or a slightly atmospheric evening :)

💛 Final verdict on Allegro for an anniversary dinner

Allegro is a place where you can enjoy both food and a jazz performance at once! We visited on our one-year anniversary, and the food was solid, the performance atmosphere was great, and above all, having the lettering dessert prepared made it even more memorable.

If you're looking to do a date a little different from usual, or want an atmospheric meal for an anniversary, it's worth checking the jazz performance schedule and paying a visit 🎷 We ate really well that day and fully enjoyed the show too 💛 I want to do another date like this again sometime... haha.
