Jamsil Stadium food trucks: bacon white garlic hot dog, cream shrimp

I went to watch the Doosan vs Samsung game just yesterday, and I still can't believe Jamsil Stadium is going away. T_T Everyone else, please go visit while you can! And for that, you need the real flower of baseball — ballpark food! Plus this is the home turf of us foodies...! Let me introduce the food. Haha. If you just follow the exact route I took, I don't think you'll regret it. 💙💙

Where is the Bingdongdaeng food truck at Jamsil Stadium?

The Bingdongdaeng food truck is at 19-2 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, right at the outfield Ticket Booth No. 1. Once you find Bingdongdaeng first, the other food trucks are easy to find too. Come out of Sports Complex Station Exit 5 and walk toward outfield Ticket Booth No. 1 and you'll spot it.

The bright yellow truck greets you so it's easy to spot! Bingdongdaeng doesn't just sell bingsu (shaved ice) — they've also got tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sundae (Korean blood sausage), and bat-shaped slushies, so you can pick whatever you're in the mood for.

I ordered tteokbokki and mango bingsu. I wanted sundae and fish cakes too but there was just too much food to eat, so next time...

They packed it up neatly so I could carry it and move on to the next truck~!

Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog's bacon white garlic hot dog

The second stop was Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog (Pretty Fox Hot Dog). This is the hot dog place people line up for in Gyeongju, so I was happy to find it at Jamsil Stadium. Haha. While waiting in line, the smell of bacon grilling was insane...T_T

They were grilling the hot dog buns and bacon with real passion. Haha. It's popular so I waited a bit in line before getting mine. If you're timing your arrival with the first pitch, keep that in mind.

I wanted to try both best-sellers — bacon corn mayo and bacon white garlic — but while I was deciding, my boyfriend picked bacon white garlic, so I went along with it. Hahaha.

Honestly I figured I'd just have to carry the hot dog carefully and thought I should be careful, but luckily they packed it up neatly too. Hahaha. Bonus points for putting it in a bag.

How do you order the cream shrimp at Station Nachos?

The last ballpark food was cream shrimp. Cream shrimp is famous at Gocheok Stadium, so I was surprised Jamsil has it too. Hahaha. It's not actually a set menu item — it's a combo you build yourself. Take Station Nachos, swap in fried shrimp, and switch to cream sauce, and boom — cream shrimp is complete!

There's also a combo called Gonsami — pork belly, cubed chicken breast, and konjac bibim noodles — and quite a lot of people were ordering that too. Next time I want to try the Gonsami combo myself. Hahaha. I'm curious.

Eating it all at our seats: what tasted best

Ta-da. Once we got into the stadium, we ate the hot dog first. The bacon white garlic hot dog is lettuce + pickles + special sauce + garlic cream sauce + bacon, and the garlic cream sauce was the star of the show. Hahaha.

It wasn't greasy at all and the garlic flavor really came through, so once I took a bite I couldn't stop. Great value and just the right portion — I was full off just one hot dog. Haha. Next time I'm trying the signature bacon corn mayo~!

Tteokbokki is a must at the ballpark, right? For me — someone who can't handle spice well — the aftertaste was a bit spicy, but not overwhelmingly so, just spicy enough, which actually made it better. Hahaha. Perfect when you need something to cut through the richness!

The cream shrimp had plump shrimp and delicious cream sauce. The sauce was rich and savory, and paired with the fried shrimp, the combo was pure art.

Can you see how plump the shrimp are? There are nachos at the very bottom too, so if you're craving something crunchy while eating the cream shrimp, grab a nacho — or once you finish all the shrimp, dip the leftover nachos in the remaining cream sauce, which is even better. Hahaha.

Last but not least, the finishing bingsu~! By the time we got to it, it had melted a little from all the eating, so the mango was extra plump. There's a ton of mango piled on top and the sweetness is strong, so I highly recommend it if you have a sweet tooth. Seriously so much mango!

Even the milk ice is delicious once it melts. Haha. The combo of mango + milk ice + condensed milk was sweet and nutty in the best way.

Tips for the Jamsil Stadium food truck run

It's best to arrive at least 1 to 1.5 hours before first pitch! My game started at 6:30, so my boyfriend and I planned to meet by 5, and as soon as we picked up our tickets we went straight around getting food to go. The lines ended up longer than expected, so waiting ate up even more time. If you're looking for the best food spots at Jamsil Stadium, I hope this post helped.
