What kind of place is Mokushura Table?

Mokushura Table is a Western-style restaurant and café in Heyri Art Village, Paju (54 Heyrimaeul-gil, Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea). It's open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM.

Mokushura Table feels like being teleported to a gorgeous European garden — I visited this spot in Paju's Heyri Art Village.

It's a multi-purpose dining space where you can have a hearty meal and also relax with café drinks.

Walk through the door and the tall, wide-open windows, the beautiful ceiling, and a gorgeous chandelier instantly grab your attention.

The European-style garden at Mokushura Table

The space has such a fresh, green feel that you almost feel like you're dining elegantly in a stunning European garden. The layout connects naturally to an outdoor walking path, which adds even more to the relaxed atmosphere.

Parking is super convenient too — just use the roadside in Heyri Village or a nearby open lot.

Restaurant and café spread over several floors

At Mokushura Table, dining is available on the 1st and 2nd floors plus the outdoor terrace, while café guests can freely use every floor from 1 to 3, the 3rd-floor terrace, the outdoor area, and the library.

Each floor here has its own distinct charm.

First floor: three seating areas and the outdoor terrace

The 1st floor is split into three spaces, and the outdoor terrace is great for enjoying a meal in the fresh air.

The library, reserved for café guests, surprised me with a massive group table.

The hallway leading to the restroom is lined with lovely framed artwork, giving it a sophisticated, gallery-like feel.

The handwashing areas and restrooms are kept clean and pleasant on every floor.

Second floor: the space for kids

The 2nd floor is a kid-friendly space designed for families, letting children play comfortably while parents get to eat in peace.

Third-floor rooftop café seating

The 3rd floor is a café-only level with rooftop seating, perfect for unwinding.

How do you order? Kiosks and the decaf lineup

Ordering is simple through the table kiosk at every seat. If you're only planning to have café drinks, you can order right away at the kiosk near the entrance, which makes things quicker.

The menu covers salads, pasta, pizza, and steak all the way to a kids' menu. Drinks are just as detailed, split into coffee, non-coffee, beer, and kids' drinks. I especially loved how many decaf options there were, like a decaf espresso macchiato or decaf con panna.

Grilled steak salad and jambon cream pasta

Yeni ordered the Grilled Steak Salad (₩25,000) and the Jambon Cream Pasta (₩24,000).

I love salads — I even make a low-carb salad piled with smoked salmon at home pretty often — so I had high expectations. This one comes topped with a big, whole piece of tender flat iron steak.

Wanting to eat comfortably, I asked them to slice the meat, and it came back cut into perfectly bite-sized, neat pieces — very satisfying. The dressing wasn't overly sweet either, letting the natural flavor of the ingredients shine.

What the jambon cream pasta tastes like

The Jambon Cream Pasta was a new menu item with a rich, thick cream sauce as its charm.

The sauce was packed with three kinds of mushrooms — king oyster, shiitake, and button mushroom — giving it a fantastic texture. Plenty of thinly sliced garlic cut through any heaviness perfectly.

The best-value set for two at Mokushura Table

If you're visiting as a pair, I'd recommend the 2-person set over ordering à la carte.

It's a solid package with salad, pasta, pizza, and two refreshing drinks, priced somewhere around ₩59,000 to ₩60,000.

Decaf coffee comes with the set as well

You can even get decaf coffee with the set!! For the price of a meal plus coffee in such a gorgeous space, the offering is really excellent.

I only noticed this on the menu board too late and regretted it, so next time I'm definitely ordering this set generously. I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city and refresh with great food in a beautiful setting.

That's my review of Mokushura Table from Yeni. I've also visited a Mokushura café in Paju before, and every Mokushura branch feels huge. Weekends will likely be crowded, so don't forget to book ahead!
