After lunch we went to Heyri Art Village in Paju, originally planning to head to Byeokchoji Arboretum next. But the weather had turned early-summer hot, sun blazing, and I wanted cool bingsu (shaved ice dessert) so badly that I searched #pajubingsu and something caught my eye — skipped the arboretum and went for bingsu instead ♬

Mangoes everywhere: how much fruit is on display at Fruit Forest?

I'd heard this place was famous as a #pajumangobingsu spot, so I walked in with expectations, and the second I entered I was greeted by mangoes taking over the whole store — whoa @@

Not just gorgeous mangoes but pineapple, melon, peaches, oranges, Shine Muscat grapes, dragon fruit, watermelon, apples — the fridge was packed with fresh seasonal and tropical fruit, and for a second I thought I'd walked into a fruit shop 🥭🍑🍉 They also sell the fruit separately, so if you love fruit you could pick some up on your way out haha

They also sell cheesecake as a dessert, which looked like it'd go great with bingsu 🧀

Weekday afternoon mood and the outdoor tables in Paju

Even on a weekday afternoon the place was packed with customers, but it thinned out a bit after a while so I quickly snapped some photos 📷

The store is spacious and clean, and there are outdoor tables too, so on a nice day you could sit outside and get some fresh air — perfect for a bit of healing 🍃

Fruit Forest bingsu menu and the September fruit juice 1+1

True to its reputation for #pajubingsu #pajusimhaksanbingsu, the menu includes injeolmi red bean bingsu, fresh mango snow bingsu, peach snow bingsu, melon snow bingsu, and the 10-fruit mixed bingsu, plus coffee, lattes and fresh fruit juice — a great spot to come with a group and order a bunch of different things 😊 If there are four of you, ordering the 10-fruit mixed bingsu would be a good call ><

Right now, as of September, there's a limited-time 1+1 event on fresh mango juice, fresh banana milk, and pineapple juice, so you can try fresh fruit juice at a good price — nice 👍 They also have an ice cream croffle for dessert

They also sell roasted chestnuts, a good snack for kids 🌰

What's in the 28,000 won melon snow bingsu for 2–3 people?

While I was busy looking around the store, this visual masterpiece arrived — #melonsnowbingsu for 2–3 people (₩28,000)

The fresh mango bingsu is the best-selling menu item, so I was tempted, but my husband likes melon more than mango so we picked the melon bingsu instead

Neatly cut melon, ice cream and cheesecake cubes on top of soft snow bingsu — the visual is so good my heart went pitter-patter 😍

I've had melon bingsu at plenty of other places, but I think this is the first time I've seen this much melon piled on +_+

How does the honeydew melon snow bingsu taste?

It looked too good to eat, so I took photos from every angle before finally digging in 🍈

First, the rich vanilla ice cream with cheesecake on top made for a doubly luxurious flavor, and there was plenty of melon sauce drizzled on, doubling the sweetness too ♥

Fruit Forest uses high-sugar honeydew melon for their melon bingsu, so it's deliciously sweet even on its own, but eating it with the snow ice underneath brings a cooling touch that chases the heat right away — I ate it in silence, completely absorbed 😘

As always, milk-based snow bingsu really does beat plain ice — so good, so good 😚 There was melon sauce drizzled throughout the bingsu too, so it never went bland, staying sweet all the way to the end — I love that kind of careful detail ~_~

There's also a photo zone on one wall, which would make for cute pictures if you're there with kids haha

This is a generous fruit bingsu made only with fresh, high-sugar fruit, delivering on both looks and taste — a great spot for a #pajudate, #pajudessertcafe #pajusimhaksandessertcafe #pajufruitforest. I'd love to come back and try the fresh mango bingsu and peach bingsu too :)
