Paju Heyri pizza café: margherita and einspänner, Mokushura Table

Heyri Village in Paju is packed with pretty cafés and restaurants, so it's always hard to decide where to stop — this time we visited Mokushura Table, which left an impression with its exotic vibe and relaxed, spacious layout.

With about 400 pyeong of space spread across the first to third floors, a terrace, and an annex library, this isn't really a spot you just eat and leave — it's a place to slowly wander around and unwind.

Maybe because we visited on a day with beautiful autumn clouds, but the outdoor garden and terrace, as well as many spots indoors, were full of great photo opportunities. If you're looking for a family meal spot in Heyri Village or a nice-atmosphere café to relax at with tea, this post should be a good reference!!

What the greenhouse first floor at Mokushura Table looks like

The first thing that caught my eye walking into Mokushura Table was the interior — unique yet warm.

The first floor is done up like a greenhouse, with a European-style fountain and chandeliers, and green plants tucked into every corner — it genuinely felt like being on a trip somewhere else~

The indoor space wasn't just tables lined up like a typical restaurant either — each area had a slightly different concept, so there was fun in looking around even while eating.

On a nice autumn day, it's worth checking out the outdoor garden and terrace together with the indoor space, and even on a not-so-great weather day, the indoor space is well decorated enough for good photos.

Kids zone on the second floor, rooftop on the third: going with children

Another standout feature of Mokushura Table is how well suited it is for visiting with kids — the second floor has a kids zone where children can comfortably spend time, making it a good fit for family visitors, with various books and cushy sofa seating.

The fact that kids won't get bored even after finishing their meal — they can read books or play — feels genuinely useful for a family trip.

The third floor has a rooftop terrace, and the atmosphere there was just so good~

You can take in the view of Heyri Village while enjoying some relaxed time, and on a nice-weather day, it'd be lovely to enjoy coffee or a drink up here.

Margherita pizza, 23,000 won: thin-crust style

Mokushura Table in Paju is also known as a pizza spot, so we tried the margherita pizza.

The margherita pizza is ₩23,000 and combines tomato, mozzarella, and basil — it's thin and crispy, thin-crust style, so it was easy to enjoy a slice even with a somewhat full stomach.

The crisply baked dough combined with tomato sauce, cheese, and basil made for a light, clean flavor — if you prefer thin crust over thick, doughy pizza, this would suit you well. If visiting with a group, it also seemed fine to order a set with pizza, pasta, and other dishes to share.

Orange sherbet 8,000 won and einspänner 7,000 won

We also ordered drinks that paired well with the pizza — the orange sherbet at ₩8,000 is made by blending orange and ice, and it was refreshingly tangy and cold.

Especially on a sunny day even in autumn, it's a good choice!! It felt like it cleansed the palate nicely.

The Einspänner is ₩7,000 — black coffee topped with soft cream — and if you like the combination of sweet, smooth cream with strong coffee, it's a nice drink to sip slowly.

It was also nice enjoyed lightly like a brunch alongside a mojito, or simply as a spot to rest for a bit during a trip.

Open kitchen on the first floor and the hygiene rating

Mokushura Table has an open kitchen on the first floor, so you can naturally see inside while eating. Personally, when I visit a restaurant, I like to check whether the kitchen and food-handling areas are kept clean, so being able to directly see the space where the food is prepared through the open kitchen was really nice~

It's also listed as an 'Excellent' hygiene-rated establishment, which is worth noting for anyone visiting with family.

Parking, hours and what to know before you go

Mokushura Table is located at 54 Heyrimaeul-gil, Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, making it easy to add to a Heyri Village trip itinerary. Hours are 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 19:30.

There's parking space beside the restaurant, so it was fairly convenient to visit even on a driving trip through Paju, and corkage is available for a fee, so it's worth inquiring before your visit if you need it!!

A relaxed break during a Paju Heyri trip

Mokushura Table isn't just a restaurant you eat at and leave — with its spacious layout, variously themed interiors, kids zone, library, and rooftop terrace, it felt like a pretty place where you can enjoy the space itself.

Especially for a Paju family trip with kids, having a space where children can play or read is a plus, and for couples or friends, it's also great for taking photos in the pretty indoor and outdoor garden spaces while spending relaxed time together.

After looking around Heyri Village in Paju, we spent some time resting over tea — there's the fun of hunting for hidden murals around the neighborhood too, and thanks to the space pairing so well with the pretty autumn sky, that short break during our trip felt extra special.
