Partitioned tables, an aging chamber and a terrace at Hwaro Yangmi

Stepping inside, the atmosphere was clean and pleasant overall! What stood out most was the generous spacing between tables and comfortable chairs, making for a relaxed meal. Each table also had some partitioning, so while not fully private rooms, there was a decent sense of privacy. Tables weren't crammed together, making it a good spot for family meals, dates, or gatherings.

I even spotted an aging chamber where the lamb is dry-aged, haha (no wonder the lamb was so juicy and tender...)

There's also a spacious outdoor terrace, which looked great for eating outside on a nice day if you book ahead, haha!

The special mixed set with lamb skewers and egg fried rice

That day we ordered the special mixed set + lamb skewers + egg fried rice at Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch. To cut to the chase, I highly recommend this combo! Eating the meat, adding lamb skewers, and finishing with egg fried rice made for a really great menu lineup. Everything we ordered was delicious, making for a very satisfying meal.

Staff grill the lamb for you and explain every cut

What I especially loved was that staff grilled the meat from start to finish. Meat quality really depends on how it's grilled, and having staff cook each piece to the tastiest point was both convenient and made the meat genuinely delicious.

It was even better that while grilling, they kindly explained which cut was which, and naturally suggested the best order to eat them in. The staff themselves were so friendly that we enjoyed the whole meal in a great mood.

Loved that they gave two kinds of sauce plus fresh wasabi!

Two sauces, fresh wasabi and myeongi-namul with the lamb

The sauces and wasabi that came with the meat were also great. The meat is delicious on its own, but dipping it in sauce or adding a touch of wasabi gave it a different flavor each time, and mixing things up was fun. Personally, wrapping the meat in myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaves) was my favorite combo! The savory, fragrant leaves paired perfectly with the meat's flavor, and I kept reaching for more. I really recommend trying the myeongi-namul wrap when you eat the meat, haha.

The lamb skewers we also ordered were better than expected. Once the meat is grilled, it's served in a dish as pictured, and for the skewers, staff thoughtfully arranged them with the tong handles facing both sides so everyone at the table could easily grab one, haha. Alternating between the special mixed meat and the skewers kept the meal from feeling monotonous, and the combo worked really well. They had their own distinct flavor and were delicious, so I was glad we ordered them alongside the meat.

A bowl of egg fried rice

Egg fried rice: light, nutty and a good finish

Finally, the egg fried rice we ordered was also a hit! Eating it alongside the meat throughout the meal was so good, haha! It wasn't too seasoned, just the right amount of light and savory, the kind of flavor you keep eating even when you're full! With the special mixed set, skewers, and egg fried rice all ordered together, the overall menu balance was really great.

An empty plate, thoroughly cleaned out haha

Can you tell how much we enjoyed it from the empty dishes? Haha. Eating the special lamb set with skewers and egg fried rice together made everything taste even better and left us really full, haha. It felt like a proper feast for once.

Free ice cream to pick on the way out

Another point that stuck with me from Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch — after finishing your meal and paying, you can pick one free ice cream per person on your way out. After eating meat, something sweet and cold really hits the spot, and being able to finish with an ice cream right after paying was such a nice touch. It might not be a big gesture, but it felt like they cared about the experience right up to the end, which I thought was really thoughtful. Walking out full from the meal with an ice cream in hand made for a satisfying finish.
