I'd heard this place was famous for lamb around Suwon's Gwanggyo area, so I went to check it out. It's technically in Yongin, but it's basically right next to Gwanggyo, so it was easy enough to get to.

Where Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch is, and where to park
Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch is a lamb rib specialty restaurant that's easy to find near Sanghyeon Station. In-building parking is available, which made it convenient to visit by car.

As the name suggests, this is a place where you grill lamb over a charcoal brazier, and the clean exterior makes it easy to spot even on a first visit. Since it's actually quite close if you're coming from Gwanggyo, I think it's easier to think of it as a Sanghyeon Station restaurant rather than just a Yongin one. haha Even before stepping inside, it already had that lamb-rib-specialty-restaurant feel. It'd also be a good option if you're in the Suwon Gwanggyo area looking for lamb.
Parking really matters when you're visiting for a gathering or a company dinner. That's why I felt this place also works well as a Sanghyeon Station restaurant for company dinners. With parking available and tables that feel fairly private, it was good for eating with a group.
Partitioned tables: does Hwaro Yangmi work for a team dinner?
Every table at Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch has a partition. It felt a bit different from a regular barbecue place where the tables are all completely open to each other.

Once inside, the place was cleaner and more organized than I expected. What I liked most was that every single table had a partition. There was enough separation from the next table that it was easy to talk while eating, and my group could eat a bit more comfortably. haha
So it'd be good for a relaxed meal with friends, and it also seemed like it would suit a family dinner or a get-together with coworkers. With this kind of atmosphere, I think it'd also work well for people looking for a Gwanggyo restaurant for company dinners. It had a much better vibe for talking with your group than a noisy, wide-open barbecue place.

What comes in the 490g Special Mixed Set
What we ordered that day at Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch was the Special Mixed Set + Tsingtao beer + egg fried rice. The Special Mixed Set is made up of lamb shoulder rack, lamb sirloin, and seasoned mini lamb rib, totaling about 490g.

I ordered the Special Mixed Set because I wanted to try a bit of everything. Being able to compare several cuts instead of just eating one was a nice touch. If you like lamb ribs, I'd absolutely recommend this kind of mixed set. This place also serves a variety of Chinese dishes, so it seemed like a good option to pair with the lamb too.

The basic side dishes were exactly what you'd expect at a lamb place — peanuts, onion, and myeongi namul (wild garlic leaf), haha. All three went really well with the lamb.

There's sauce too! On the small plate there's salt and cumin sauce — I always dip my first bite in salt, and after that I go heavy on the cumin sauce! It was also nice paired with the vegetables on the side.
Staff grill the lamb for you over charcoal
At Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch, a staff member grills all the lamb for you over a charcoal brazier. It's a chilled (never-frozen) lamb rib specialty restaurant, which is one of its defining features.

Wow, look at that color on the meat!! Looks so good, right? haha They said they fly in top-grade Australian lamb under a year old, chilled, never frozen. Maybe that's why — wow!! I was already impressed just looking at the texture of the meat before even eating it. haha

After ordering, the charcoal brazier was set up. Lamb really does taste best grilled over charcoal, haha. As the meat started sizzling on the brazier, the smell alone was enough to get the appetite going.
Since the staff grilled the meat for us, we could just relax and chat while we waited. They also kept an eye on the doneness while grilling, so even people trying lamb for the first time would probably feel less intimidated.
Lamb shoulder rack: is there any gamey smell?
Finally, the well-grilled shoulder rack! I tried the lamb, and what I liked most was how tender the texture was. There was juicy moisture left inside, so the flavor was really good. A chilled lamb rib specialty restaurant really does make a difference!
Personally, I barely noticed the distinctive lamb smell while eating that day. If you usually hesitate on lamb because of that characteristic smell, I think it's worth giving this a try. Grilling over charcoal also added a subtle smoky aroma, which seemed to bring out the meat's own flavor even more. It really is a great Gwanggyo lamb rib restaurant!
Lamb sirloin and seasoned mini lamb ribs
The lamb sirloin had its own appeal, different from the shoulder rack. Even though it's the same lamb, the texture and flavor varied a bit by cut, which made it fun to try them one by one.

The seasoned mini lamb rib had the seasoning added, so you could enjoy it as a different flavor from the plain lamb. Personally, I preferred the plain lamb rib where you can enjoy the clean charcoal aroma the most, but for anyone who wants to try a variety of lamb cuts, I'd still recommend this as a Gwanggyo lamb rib restaurant.
Tsingtao beer and egg fried rice to finish
At Hwaro Yangmi Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Station Branch, I paired the lamb ribs with Tsingtao beer, and finished off by ordering egg fried rice.

And of course, the Tsingtao beer! Eating a piece of lamb and then taking a refreshing sip — this combo was pretty great. Especially with charcoal-grilled meat, pairing it with beer cuts through the richness, so you keep reaching for both. haha It's also great for enjoying lamb and beer together at a gathering or company dinner, so I'd recommend this as a Sanghyeon Station restaurant for company dinners too.

It felt like a shame to end the meal with just meat, so I ordered egg fried rice too. Coming after the lamb, its plain, clean flavor made for a nice finish that felt different from the meat. I guess the end of a meal really does need carbs, haha. Being able to enjoy Chinese dishes and rice dishes alongside the lamb was one of the advantages of Hwaro Yangmi.
Is Hwaro Yangmi worth it? Final verdict
If you want to eat tender, chilled lamb ribs grilled over charcoal without worrying about the smell, this place is worth a visit. Thanks to the staff grilling everything for you, it was an easy, relaxed meal, which made it a good choice when looking for a Sanghyeon Station or Gwanggyo restaurant for company dinners. If you want to focus properly on lamb ribs, I'd recommend it as a Gwanggyo lamb rib restaurant.
