What is Seongsu Darak? A loft-concept Western restaurant 8 minutes from Seongsu Station
Seongsu Darak is a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor of 20 Ttukseom-ro 9-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, an 8-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 3. I heard it was a famous hotspot in Seongsu-dong, so I went on a date with my partner.

I came across Seongsu Darak while looking for pasta restaurants in Seongsu, and it turned out to have a wide range of Western dishes — pasta, omurice (rice omelet), pork neck steak, and more — all at reasonable prices, plus the kind of sensitive, aesthetic interior Seongsu-dong is known for. Great for a date!

Inside Seongsu Darak: finding the entrance and the white-and-wood interior

This is the door you're supposed to go in — we couldn't find it at first, haha. True to the name (darak means "loft"), the exterior door and the stairway up to the 2nd and 3rd floors are all done up in a sensitive loft-concept style.

Once inside, you're greeted with a clean white-toned interior and wood furniture that give off a bright, warm feeling. There are sensitive design touches everywhere, so I'd recommend it as a Seongsu date spot :)

There's also a small self-serve bar in one corner with water and tissues.
Seongsu Darak menu and what the couple ordered

Seongsu Darak's signature dishes include Darak Omurice, Darak Rosé Pasta, Pork Neck Steak, Risotto, and Katsu Sando — there was so much variety it took us a while to decide, haha.
Here's what we ordered.
- Darak Rosé Pasta ₩19,000
- Spicy Cream Pasta ₩19,000
- Darak Ade Pineapple ₩6,900
- Hoegaarden ₩6,900
Darak Rose Pasta, 19,000 won: house meat sauce with fresh cream

Darak Rosé Pasta is the restaurant's signature dish, made with a spicy house-made meat sauce, sweet and creamy fresh cream, and Grana Padano cheese.
Unlike the rosé pastas I usually eat, this one had the rich, spicy punch of the handmade meat sauce layered with the sweetness of the cream and the savory depth of the cheese — a genuinely balanced combo of spicy and smooth!

There's a generous dollop of sweet, creamy fresh cream on top — just mix it into the meat sauce as you eat, and honestly, the combination was so good...

You do get that rich, spicy meat sauce flavor, but the sweet, smooth cream and cheese rein it in, leaving something thick and savory that I genuinely enjoyed from first bite to last. Officially crowning it Seongsu Darak's signature pasta...!!!
Spicy Cream Pasta, 19,000 won: three cheeses with shrimp and egg yolk

Spicy Cream Pasta is flavored with three kinds of cheese, shrimp, and spicy seasoning. The cream sauce built from three cheeses is thick and richly savory, with a gentle spiciness rising underneath that cuts the richness, so it stayed enjoyable all the way to the last bite.

Just pop the egg yolk and mix it in with the pasta!

It's a cream pasta, but the subtle spiciness kept it from feeling heavy :) The spicy and creamy elements balanced out nicely into something quite substantial, and the plump shrimp added great texture — really, really good!!

Just a heads up — pickles are available if you ask the staff :)
Darak Ade Pineapple, 6,900 won: the signature drink in a pineapple cup

I ordered the Darak Ade Pineapple (₩6,900) because I heard it was the restaurant's signature ade — and served in an actual pineapple cup, it's ridiculously cute just to look at...!

The tangy-sweet pineapple juice and the ade's refreshing fizz paired well with the pasta, cleansing the palate between bites and keeping things cool and refreshing.
Is Seongsu Darak worth it for a date? Final thoughts
The sensitive white-and-wood interior and the varied menu made Seongsu Darak a great choice for a date meal with a partner in Seongsu-dong. If you're looking for a good-atmosphere pasta restaurant in Seongsu, I'd recommend giving it a visit :)
