Men's bleached hair khaki tone-down at a Dongtan hair salon: Juno Hair

In short

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is a hair salon inside Lotte Front Castle by Dongtan Station in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. After a consultation with Director Songhwa, my husband's bleached, faded hair was toned down to khaki rather than covered in black. Indoors the color looks calm and subtle, while sunlight brings out a soft khaki cast — a natural way to come back to everyday hair.

Khaki tone-down color on bleached hair

as written by the visitor on Sep 13, 2026

A while back my husband suddenly decided he wanted to bleach his hair — a little rebellion, haha. Once it was actually bleached, the vibe changed so much it was better than I expected, but bleached hair, while pretty and refreshing at first, starts fading and showing roots pretty quickly, and the upkeep got stressful.

So instead of covering it with a too-dark color, we wanted to keep the lightness from the bleach but bring it back to something calmer and more natural, so we visited Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch, a hair salon near Dongtan Station.

Where is Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch, and what are its hours?

  • Daily 10:00 – 21:00
  • Location: Dongtan Lotte Front Castle, Building B, Units 201–206
  • Naver Reservations available

Among the many stylists there, I booked with Director Songhwa, who's introduced as top 1% at Juno Hair for a custom hair-texture repair clinic, with over 100 repeat clients a month on average.

Since this was bleached hair, I figured it was important to get a proper consultation on the current condition and the tone that would suit him, rather than just darkening it.

How to get to the salon from Dongtan Station

The salon is near Dongtan Station so it was easy to find. First-time visitors might get a little confused about the way in or the parking entrance, so I'd recommend checking a YouTube video beforehand!

What is the salon like inside?

Right at the entrance there's a hand-washing area on one side. It was nice to be able to wash your hands quickly before going in or before a service, and it felt very clean and well-kept.

Inside, various hair products like shampoo, treatment, and hair essence are neatly displayed. You can also buy them directly, so if you have a product you already use or one that gets recommended, it seems handy to pick it up on the spot.

Overall the salon felt clean and spacious. There's a large area set up for hair services, and each seat has a mirror and its tools neatly arranged, giving an overall organized feel.

Above all, instead of the usual busy, chaotic salon atmosphere, it felt clean and calm, so it was comfortable to sit through the service.

The shampoo area has regular shampoo chairs alongside massage chairs reserved for VIP guests. The regular chairs were neatly kept, and the VIP massage chairs let you relax comfortably while getting your hair washed.

Visiting with kids: the Juno Kids space

One space that really stood out was Juno Kids! There's a dedicated area for children, which is great for family customers visiting the salon together. Usually when you bring a kid to a salon you worry about them getting bored or wandering off during the service, but with a kids' space set up, parents can relax a bit more while getting their hair done.

Consultation: checking the condition of bleached hair

A thorough consultation starting from the condition of the bleached hair

Rather than jumping straight to picking a color once we arrived, we first checked the current condition of the hair. Since it was bleached, it's a bit different from coloring on regular hair.

Bleached hair has already undergone change, so it's important to consider both the current condition and the desired color together, rather than just applying a dark color. We wanted a natural, calm khaki tone-down rather than something that felt like it was covered in black.

How the khaki tone-down color was done on bleached hair

Because the bleached section and the rest of the hair were in different states, she worked carefully so the overall color would blend naturally. After bleaching, the hair had lightened more than expected, and once the tone-down color went on, you could clearly see the whole look becoming calmer. Throughout the process of applying the color, Director Songhwa kept checking the hair's condition as she went.

After coloring, the vibe felt much calmer than expected. Once toned down it looked settled and elevated! When it caught the light, a subtle khaki shade came through, which was really pretty. Indoors it looks calm and natural, but under sunlight or lighting a hint of khaki rises up, giving it an intriguing feel.

Khaki tone-down before and after

Right after bleaching, the bright color was the first thing you noticed, but after the tone-down, everything felt pulled together into a much calmer, more natural look. It's funny how the same person can look so different just from a hair color change. If you've been struggling with hair that got too light after bleaching, toning it down could be a good way to shift the vibe.

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch: the verdict

We visited Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch for a tone-down color after my husband's bleaching, and toning down the hair that had gotten too light gave the whole look a calmer feel — most of all, it gave him exactly the natural, back-to-everyday-life feeling he wanted, which was satisfying. The consultation and the service both went smoothly, and the salon was clean too, which was a plus. If you want to naturally tone down hair that's lightened after bleaching, I'd recommend getting a consultation with Director Songhwa at Juno Hair.
