Pangyo Indian restaurant weekday lunch: butter chicken and prawn
In short
Bombay Broy Pangyo is an Indian restaurant in Baekhyeon-dong, Seongnam, right beside the public parking lot on the Pangyo café street. On a quiet weekday lunch, the writer and her mother ordered Lunch Set B for two and chose butter chicken and prawn makhani, which arrived as one full table with naan, rice and tandoori chicken. The chewy naan and mild, not-too-spicy curries make Bombay Broy Pangyo worth booking for a weekend lunch date as well.

Hi everyone, Yumnyarong here 🐰 The weather's been so nice lately that I keep finding myself back on the Pangyo Baekhyeon-dong café street! Parking's easy and there are tons of good restaurants, so I come often — and this time I finally checked out a place I'd been curious about right next to the public parking lot: the Indian restaurant Bombay Broy. Let's get into it! 😆
Inside Bombay Broy Pangyo: mood and seating
Bombay Broy Pangyo is an Indian restaurant right next to the public parking lot on the Pangyo Baekhyeon-dong café street. High ceilings and a lush green view — the cozy interior hit me the moment I walked in.

That signature cozy Bombay decor, already giving off great vibes 😮

I noticed it in the reviews too, but that lush, high-ceilinged view is so nice! If it weren't for the parked cars, the window seats would be perfect 🍃🍃 We came on a weekday lunch, and it was quieter and more relaxed than I expected.

The owner and all the chefs were Indian, and they seemed to have been running this place for a long time — we ended up speaking English rather than Korean, which honestly made it feel like being abroad haha 🇺🇸💵

There's also a room-like separated space inside, plus plenty of group tables, so it'd work well for a work dinner or a big lunch gathering near Pangyo too. 👍 Setting is perfect!
Lunch Set B for two: which curries should you pick?
With Bombay Broy's Lunch Set B for two, you don't have to agonize over naan versus rice — both come included, sized for two people. You just pick whichever curry flavors you want, and the options were chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, prawn makhani, and dal makhani.

There were plenty of individual menu items too, but at Indian restaurants I always end up ordering the set with a bit of everything. 🍛🍛 So we went with the Lunch Set B for two — no need to choose between naan and rice, both come in portions for two, and you just pick your two curry flavors. 🍤🍤

We were chatting for a bit when the side dishes arrived — pickles, salad, and jalapeños. Such a nicely tangy smell! 🥒 I don't usually touch this kind of side dish/salad thing at restaurants, but my mom said it was good so I tried it, and it really was fresh and great! 😮
The two-person table: naan, rice and tandoori chicken
Bombay Broy's Lunch Set B for two came with naan, curry, rice, and even tandoori chicken. Usually at Indian restaurants the naan always runs out, but here there was plenty for two people to share.

Ta-da. The freshly made two-person set spread. Naan, curry, rice, and even tandoori chicken. 🐔 There wasn't a garlic or plain naan option separately, but it seemed like their own butter- or oil-based sauce was already brushed on. 😸
Butter chicken vs prawn makhani: how they compare
The curries we chose were butter chicken and prawn makhani. I picked butter chicken because reviews said it was good, and I ordered prawn makhani because it seemed like a safe bet flavor-wise, and as a shrimp lover I had to.

The classic combo: butter chicken 🐻 and prawn makhani. Hahaha 🤣

But wow, I would've really regretted it if we hadn't ordered the prawn makhani. The two curries are similar but so different! 🖖 It'd been a while since I had Indian curry, and maybe because it was made by a native chef, it was so, so good. That fragrant curry smell with a flavor that isn't too intense? We scraped the bowl clean 🧚♀️
Why the naan is so chewy, and rice tuned to Korean tastes
Bombay Broy's naan comes out freshly baked and piping hot, and it was the chewiest naan I've ever had. The rice wasn't the loose, fluffy Indian-style rice — it had some stickiness to it, suited to Korean tastes, and there was a decent amount of it too.

Other naans I've had feel more like bread, or just a side to soak up curry flavor, but this naan is chewy and delicious enough to eat on its own — like a really good dough 😆

🌟 I usually prefer mixing curry with rice over naan, but with Bombay Broy, I'm voting for naan 🌸

Dipping it deep into the shrimp curry. Yum 🍤
Tandoori chicken and the seasoned onion side
Next came the tandoori chicken! It came with a side of pickled onion salad, which seemed like a Korean-style touch mixed in, haha.

The tandoori chicken seasoning wasn't too strong, and there was plenty of meat, so it was filling! 🐔

Even though it was a lunch set, it was nice being able to sample a variety of different Indian dishes. Somehow my mom and I have become Indian food conquest buddies — such a happy lunch outing! 🧚♀️🧚♀️
