I've been craving pasta lately, so I went looking for a good spot and landed on Raon Sik Tak. Turns out they just opened a Pangyo branch on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, so off I went!

I really love the Baekhyeon-dong café street, haha. Let's see how it felt visiting in the evening! (Correspondent style, haha)

Entrance of Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch with its European-style exterior

Walking along the Baekhyeon-dong café street, you'll spot a place with a European-style exterior that immediately catches the eye. That's Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch. I already knew the brand from its Gwacheon and Dongpyeon-maeul branches, so I was surprised to find one in Pangyo too!

The hardest part of finding a good spot in Pangyo is usually that the places with great vibes have mediocre food, and the places with great food feel chaotic. So this time I found somewhere that's good at pasta and wood-fired pizza while also having a great atmosphere.

Building of Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch one block inside the Baekhyeon-dong café street

Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch sits one block inside the main line of the Baekhyeon-dong café street. It's not directly visible from the main road, so you might wander a bit the first time, but it's quick to find if you just follow the map.

Inside Raon Sik Tak: open wood-fired oven and tables set far apart

Stepping inside, it's bigger and calmer than expected. The white-and-wood interior photographs well, and best of all, the wood-fired oven is exposed on one side so you can watch the pizzas baking. Families with kids were gathered in front of it, watching.

The tables weren't cramped either, so conversation was easy. If you're looking for a restaurant in Baekhyeon-dong where you can eat without a lot of noise, this is definitely a strong point.

The menu is neatly organized into wood-fired pizza, pasta, gnocchi, and salad. The menu board notes that the dough is cold-fermented for 72 hours, which seems to be this place's key point. And you absolutely have to try the gnocchi.

Since it just opened, everything was spotless and the tableware sparkled without a single scratch — it honestly startled me mid-meal, haha.

Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch really creates the feel of an Italian wood-fired pizzeria!

Rucola anchovy pasta, 19,000 won: how balanced is the oil pasta?

Every single item on the menu looked delicious. And that definitely wasn't just because I was hungry, haha.

🐟 Rucola anchovy pasta ₩19,000

A plate of anchovy oil pasta topped with rucola

This was the first dish that came out... and I was amazed at how well the oil had soaked into the noodles. How do you even cook it to get that result, haha. The anchovy flavor was subtle, and the fresh rucola wrapped it all together beautifully — the balance was excellent!

Highly, highly recommend this pasta!! If you like anchovies, you have to try it!

The pickles were nice and clean too — good.

Cream potato gnocchi, 18,000 won: the Raon Sik Tak Pangyo signature

🥔 Cream potato gnocchi ₩18,000

The signature cream potato gnocchi

This is a potato gnocchi menu made fresh every day, and it's the signature dish here. Apparently made with potatoes they grow themselves — is that even real?? The care that goes into it is unbelievable, and maybe that's why it was seriously delicious. The rich cream flavor and the softness of the potato gnocchi were something else!

But this dish is over the moment you take that first spoonful of cream, haha. So smooth and so full of umami!

Cotto e ricotta pizza, 27,000 won: wood-fired with house-made cotto ham

🍕 Cotto e ricotta ₩27,000

Cotto e ricotta pizza fresh from the wood-fired oven

This one's a combination of house-made cotto ham and ricotta cheese, and the ham wasn't salty at all — it was mild and incredibly tender.

The ricotta cheese paired surprisingly well with the ham! I was really satisfied with this dish — I think I'd order it again next time, haha.

Who should book a dinner at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch?

I think this sums up Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch: house-made ingredients, everything prepared one by one with care, and real know-how in bringing out flavor, haha. I ate really, really well!

  • Anyone looking for real wood-fired pizza on the Baekhyeon-dong café street
  • Anyone wanting a place with a bit of effort put in for a Pangyo date — not quite a formal meet-the-parents occasion, but close

The pink Bundaberg I ordered as a palate cleanser at the end was so good too! It's a place I'd love to visit again with my family. There might be a bit of a wait on weekends, but if you avoid brunch hours, it should be fine!
