Daegu eyewear shop with 6 house brands to try on: Second Face Jukjeon

These days glasses aren't just about seeing clearly — how they suit your face matters just as much. While looking around for a new pair myself, I visited Second Face Jukjeon Branch in Jukjeon-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu.

Second Face Jukjeon Branch sits right on Dalgubeol-daero in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. And here's what I personally loved — you can park right in front of the store.

Parking is always a low-key stress when getting glasses fitted, so being able to park right outside made visiting by car a lot easier.

Inside Second Face Jukjeon: frames sorted by price

Walking into Second Face Jukjeon, the space was bigger and cleaner than I expected. The frames were neatly sorted by type, which made it easy to browse slowly and compare.

I also liked that the frames were divided by price haha. They start from the affordable ₩10,000s and go up with a genuinely wide range, so you can try on all sorts and pick!!

Above all, compared to a typical optical shop that only carries one brand line, the range here — house brands, luxury total brands, domestic brands — was pretty wide. So I came in to get one pair and ended up trying on a bunch of things haha.

What I was most interested in was Moscot! Since it was actually the main reason for this visit to Second Face Jukjeon, I started by looking at Moscot. Moscot is a fairly familiar name to eyewear fans for its classic yet distinctive designs.

Depending on the shape and thickness of the frame, your whole facial impression can change a lot more than you'd expect, so I tried on several designs to compare. Especially with a brand like Moscot, where the frame itself has real presence, how it suits you can shift a lot depending on face shape, eyebrows, nose height, and so on — so trying it on in person before choosing was definitely the way to go.

At Second Face Jukjeon I got to meet not just Moscot but a variety of house brands: Mykita, ic! berlin, Moscot, Masunaga, Kamemannen, Ivan. Being able to try on, in one place, brands that are normally hard to compare side by side at department stores or regular optical shops was a real plus.

Second Face Jukjeon isn't just house brands either. There's a wide luxury total brand lineup too: Dior / Celine / Gucci / Miu Miu / Tom Ford / Burberry / Prada / Bottega Veneta / Balenciaga / Saint Laurent.

Being able to compare glasses and sunglasses from brands I'd normally only eye at department stores means plenty of options for anyone who loves designer eyewear.

If luxury or imported house brands feel like too much, there are domestic brands to browse too. Lash / Carvin / Odd Eye / Karin and other domestic brands are on hand, so comparing price and design across those was easy.

Once the frame is picked, it's time to decide on lenses. The frame matters, but what's actually in front of your eyes every day is the lens, so I got a thorough lens consultation at Second Face Jukjeon too.

After trying on and comparing so many, I finally picked one pair I loved. Frames really do feel different on screen versus actually on your face.

So this time I didn't rush — I tried on several designs and compared them properly. In the end I picked a frame I loved and got the lenses fitted too. Wearing the new glasses, my whole face feels like it has a different vibe, and it was a nice little mood reset haha.
