Steak restaurant in Dalseo, Daegu: cream tenderloin, Etrenne Jukjeon
In short
Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is a steak-and-pasta restaurant near Jukjeon Station in Dalseo, Daegu. Visiting on a weekday at 5pm for an early dinner, the writer ordered the cream tenderloin steak medium well and the Shanghai pasta, finding the tenderloin tender with no tough bits and the pasta full of smoky dried-chili flavor with large clams and shrimp. With 4 hours of free parking and a quiet post-break-time slot, it's a solid pick for a date course.

Last week I went to Etrenne Jukjeon Branch, known as a go-to date restaurant in Daegu. It's a steak specialist in Dalseo run by a chef who used to work at Outback, and it's built up quite a reputation — I'd fallen for it on a visit a few months back, so I went again after a while.

What's the vibe like inside?
True to its slogan of being a restaurant that feels like a rest, the interior stood out with a chic yet classic look and a cozy atmosphere.

The space isn't huge, but it's set up with tables for 2 and 4, comfortable enough to linger — good for a family meal, a work dinner, or a small gathering.

We went for an early dinner around 5pm on a weekday, right as they opened for the evening, so it wasn't peak time and we got to enjoy it at a relaxed pace.

The menu — from steaks to pasta to wine
Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is a Daegu date-restaurant favorite where you can enjoy Western food made with fresh ingredients without breaking the bank. The set menus are varied too, with a wide range to choose from.
True to a Dalseo steak specialist, there was a wide variety — sirloin, ribeye, mammoth garlic steak — plus half-and-half lasagna, risotto, teriyaki chicken rice, and more, making the choice a happy struggle.

There were plenty of pastas to pick from too, depending on your taste — seafood tomato, Toowoomba, ragu, bisque shrimp.

There was also a good lineup of drinks and wine to pair with Western food — a glass alongside the meal would've been perfect.

They also have a weekday lunch set, so it's a great option for enjoying good food at good value.
Garlic baguette, beet cucumber pickles, and salad
After we sat down, a freshly baked, still-warm garlic baguette was served first, and even just that surprised me with how good it was.

The house-made cucumber pickles, made with beet, had a pretty pink color that was lovely to look at too.
Even a simple salad wasn't just there for show — you could see with your own eyes how generously they'd piled on cheese, black olives, and cherry tomatoes.

Sure enough, a place that doesn't skimp on ingredients shows it from the very first bite.

There's so much I want to eat here that choosing is always a happy struggle, and this time too I ordered the dishes I fell for on my last visit.

Cream tenderloin steak, ordered medium well
Of everything, the cream tenderloin steak, my top pick, was mouthwatering on looks alone.

Made with never-frozen, refrigerated beef tenderloin, it had a soft, moist texture that melted in the mouth like cotton candy — and even though we asked for medium well, there wasn't a single tough bite, which I really appreciated.

There was no trace of the beefy off-smell either, and dipping it generously into the creamy, slightly spicy sauce, I felt all the stress of a hard day melt away at this Daegu date spot.

The baguette served as garnish, dipped into the cream sauce, was — need I say more — pure perfection.

So how does the Shanghai pasta taste?
The Shanghai pasta, chosen with my usual taste in mind, had that appealing depth from a smoky flavor added with dried chili.

The seafood — clams and squid — looked as fresh as if it had just been caught, and the pieces were large, making it fun to pick apart and eat.

The noodles, well seasoned and cooked just right, kept me picking up bite after bite without pause.

The shrimp were so big that the moment you bit into one, the juices burst out — seriously impressive.

The clam meat was tender and full of umami too, and I cleaned the whole plate without leaving a single piece behind.

True to its reputation as a standout Dalseo steak specialist, Etrenne Jukjeon Branch delivered a level of quality that felt genuinely different, and I'd confidently recommend it as a satisfying Daegu date restaurant every time.
