Today we went to a restaurant our family loves eating at, the Suwon eel spot Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Suwon Main Branch. My 34-month-old absolutely loves eel.
Where is Songnim Bok Jangeo in Suwon, and what does it cost?

The Suwon Main Branch is close to Suwon City Hall Station, so it's a Suwon eel spot I'd recommend for a work dinner. There's a parking lot behind the building, so no need to worry about parking. They also sell eel for takeout, so next time I want to try getting it packed to eat at home.

Is the restaurant family-friendly? Baby chairs and a roomy hall
Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon Main Branch just opened recently, and the space is spacious and clean, making it a good fit for family gatherings or group meetups.

The tables are spaced far apart, and there were plenty of baby chairs ready, so it was also good to visit with a baby. There's galbitang (short rib soup) and makguksu (buckwheat noodles) on the menu too, so no worries about feeding a baby who doesn't like eel!

What ₩29,900 gets you: eel, pork belly, chicken neck and the self-serve bar
At first eel, pork belly and chicken neck meat come out, and after that you can go grab more meat or eel yourself from the self-serve bar and enjoy it all-you-can-eat. For just ₩29.9k... eating unlimited eel and meat, seriously.

There are vegetables that pair well with eel and wrap lettuce too, all you can eat from the salad bar. The salad bar was well organized and well stocked. Overall the side dishes had a clean, simple flavor, and the pickled perilla leaves and aged kimchi went especially well with the eel — I lost count of how many times I went back for more.

How to grill freshwater eel so it tastes best
- Place fresh eel skin-side down first on the grill
- Once well cooked on both sides, cut into bite-sized pieces and stand them up to grill the cut edges golden brown
The eel and meat turning golden brown and delicious. The charcoal heat was strong so everything cooked quickly. Get delicious, get delicious~

Make sure to cook the cut edges thoroughly too. Seeing the eel lined up so neatly already makes me feel like I'm getting a health boost, hoho..
Is this really all-you-can-eat quality?.. Look how plump the eel is. One bite in, the savory flavor was outstanding. Chewy with absolutely no fishy taste — Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon Main Branch! Certified Suwon eel spot.

Crispy on the outside, moist inside, the eel cooking up perfectly. Enjoying eel that's so good for you at this price — I'll have to come back for a health boost whenever parenting wears me out.

It's tasty and clean-flavored plain, but even better with ginger and eel sauce. The magic of being able to keep eating eel without it feeling heavy.. Our little sparkler ate the eel sauce well too.

Pork belly, self-serve seasoned ribs and a bowl of rice to finish
Alternating between meat and eel, I was really full but kept eating more anyway. The pork belly grilled over charcoal too felt like a proper dining-out experience. Plenty of wrap greens and vegetables, so we ate really well. The pork belly slices were thick and delicious.

We finished with the seasoned ribs from the self-serve bar — a total rice thief. Ribs that make you finish a whole bowl of rice in no time. A Suwon eel spot with truly plenty to eat.
