What kind of place is Vinf in Jeonpo, Busan?
Vinf is a Western restaurant specializing in pasta and gnocchi, located in Jeonpo-dong, Busan. Today I'm sharing my visit to Vinf, a pasta specialist and Jeonpo restaurant favorite. It's a Western food spot with a vintage feel in Jeonpo-dong where both the pasta and gnocchi are delicious.

I was surprised to see rows of liquor bottles lined up outside — but it made total sense once I learned this place used to be a bar before being renewed into a Western restaurant!
Getting to feel that casual bar vibe inside a Western food restaurant made me even more excited.

Vinf's vintage atmosphere and seating
Vinf is a Western restaurant with a bistro feel, complete with calm lighting and a bar table. It really feels like you've stepped up to a bar counter, which is a pretty unique atmosphere among Western restaurants.

I visited on a weekend and most of the hall tables were full of people dining. There are tables for 4-6 people, so it's also great for group gatherings, and lots of people were enjoying drinks alongside their meal.

From the walls to the plants, everything has a vintage yet calm feel, making it a great spot to visit for that bistro atmosphere.
Vinf menu and prices

Vinf, a Western food specialist in Jeonpo, has a lot of unusual menu items you won't find elsewhere, so it was fun just picking what to order. True to being a pasta specialist, they also have gnocchi, and charcoal grilling seems to be another specialty — there was pork neck, Korean beef tongue, and octopus. Being corkage-free with glass wine, highballs and more on offer, the drink selection is as varied as an actual bar.

- Sous vide pork neck charcoal ribs ₩22,000

Green onion cream gnocchi with cream hidden inside
☑️ Green onion cream gnocchi (₩23,000) The green onion cream gnocchi arrived first. It's a cream gnocchi with round gnocchi pieces and mushrooms cooked to a nice chewy texture.

The baguette is only ₩900 for 2 pieces, so adding it is a no-brainer.
The gnocchi pieces are pretty big, right? Looking at the outside, they seem crisply cooked, but they're surprisingly soft like cream once you eat them.

Turns out there's actually cream inside. The texture of the gnocchi itself is also chewy — since it's not your typical gnocchi, it was an especially special dish to enjoy.

Since it's called green onion cream gnocchi, I expected the green onion to be the main player, but there were more mushrooms than I expected. The mushroom texture contrasted nicely with the gnocchi, so I kept eating without stopping.

Dipping the baguette in the sauce made it even tastier.

Sous vide pork neck charcoal ribs: a steak-like texture
☑️ Sous vide pork neck charcoal ribs (₩22,000) The sous vide pork neck charcoal ribs came out looking extraordinary from the very first glance. It must be a popular item — it sold out shortly after we ordered.

The visual is hard to believe it's pork neck. When you think of pork neck, you usually think of a chewy texture, but Vinf's pork neck was as tender as steak. Eating the meat together with the basil, the flavors weren't out of place at all — they went really well together.

You can dip the meat in the sauce to your taste, and the sauce seems to make the meat even more tender. Maybe because it's sous vide, it just melted in my mouth. Gnocchi and pork neck are dishes you can commonly find elsewhere, but Vinf presented them in such an unusual way that it made for an especially special experience.
