Moana Burger is located at 228-33 Nanseolheon-ro, Gangneung, open 11:00–21:00, closed every Tuesday. We went there after sightseeing at Gyeongpodae — it took about 10 minutes by car.

It's near the coastal road, so it's a great stop on a drive, and it's just 2 minutes from Sacheon Beach — perfect for a visit before or after a swim on a nice day.

It's a 4-minute walk from Heo Gyun & Heo Nanseolheon Memorial Park and just 1.2km from St. John's Hotel, making it a convenient spot for hotel guests to grab a casual meal. Parking right in front of the shop made things easy, too :D

The most eye-catching detail was the black-and-white checkerboard tile at the counter — it gave off a hip, vintage vibe like an American classic diner, great for photos. The stainless steel tables were a unique touch too.

First off, I actually liked that the burger menu wasn't huge. When there are too many options, it's hard to decide, and it can make a place feel less focused, haha. This is clearly a handmade burger restaurant that puts its focus on the beef patty. The bun was chewy, and the patty was juicy — not just juicy, but practically dripping — the juiciness in that first bite was no joke.

Let me start with the Moana Burger I ordered — the balance was absolutely perfect. You'd be hard-pressed to find any dryness in the patty; it was properly juicy and coated in that char flavor, a truly solid choice,

and on top of that, the tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese, and sauce all balanced out any greasiness perfectly — a menu item that really shows why it's the signature.

Put on the sanitary gloves they give you and press down while eating — even tastier, hahaha. This is a can't-fail menu item, so make sure to order it.

Moana Double Burger, 17,000 won: fries included, built for meat lovers

My husband had the Moana Double Burger, ₩17,000 with fries included — recommended for meat lovers. If you're a person who says 'forget the veggies, I want the meat,' this is the perfect menu item. The price already includes fries, just so you know! The fries were fried up nice and crisp, thick-cut with great texture! The seasoning was salty and delicious~

Two thick patties are packed in, so it's double the juiciness and double the heartiness.

And add a cold draft beer on top of that, and this place is basically paradise on earth!! Hahaha. Cold beer with lunch made the vacation even more fun, haha.
