It was comfortable visiting alone, and seating didn't look like it would feel cramped for groups either.

However, the rooftop is a no-kids zone. If you're visiting with children, it's better to use the indoor spaces on floors 1–3 or the terraces on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

On a cool, breezy day, I imagine having coffee on the rooftop would feel really nice.

Since it's right by the sea, I'd guess the rooftop is even more satisfying on days when the wind is pleasant.

There are plenty of ocean-view cafés in Gangneung, but Baegya Coffee had a great view and the bakery was better than I expected. The salt bread in particular stuck with me most — a basic bread that still nailed that crisp-outside, moist-inside texture, with a salty flavor that paired really well with the coffee.

Going alone on a weekday morning and quietly sipping coffee while looking at the sea was a nice way to spend the time. Next time, I'd like to try the rooftop when the weather turns cooler.
