Chuncheon sushi buffet with an ube bubble tea drink bar: QooQoo

Today I want to share my review of QooQoo Chuncheon Branch, which I visited because I was craving a whole bunch of different foods at once. You know those days when you want sushi, but also rolls, and also something warm, and also dessert? QooQoo is one of the first places that comes to mind for that.

Visiting the Chuncheon branch this time, I found not just sushi and rolls but hot dishes, seafood, salad, fruit and dessert too — and there's even a playroom and baby chairs for kids, so it worked well as a family meal spot.

Where is QooQoo Chuncheon Branch, and how do you find the entrance?

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch is on the basement floor (B1) of a building at 80 Jiseok-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon. Once inside the building, the orange QooQoo sign catches your eye right away, so it was easier to find than I expected. Walking down the hallway, there were price boards and event banners set up in front of the entrance, which was handy to check before going in.

Based on the price board at the entrance when I visited, weekday lunch for adults was ₩24,900, weekday dinner for adults/middle-high schoolers ₩29,900, weekend/holiday for adults/middle-high schoolers ₩32,900, elementary schoolers ₩16,900 on weekdays / ₩17,900 on weekends, and preschoolers ₩8,000.

And when I visited, there happened to be a September autumn discount event running too! From September 1 to September 30, weekday lunch dropped from ₩24,900 to ₩22,900, and dinner from ₩29,900 to ₩27,900 — a ₩2,000 discount on each. It said the discounts can't be combined with other offers, so keep that in mind if you're visiting during the event period.

Baby chairs and a playroom: can you bring young kids?

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch has several baby chairs ready, plus a separate playroom for kids inside the store. Since I'm raising a baby myself, whenever I go to a restaurant I check for baby chairs and kid-friendliness just as much as the food. As shown in the photo, the baby chairs are lined up neatly in one area, making it convenient for families visiting with kids.

But what really stood out was the playroom. Decorated colorfully with yellow as the main tone, it has stairs and a tunnel — a space where kids can actually move around and play. When eating out with kids, parents often haven't finished their meal yet while the child has already finished eating and gets bored. A playroom really solves that problem. For anyone looking for a family meal spot or a place to eat with kids, this was a welcome facility.

How the food corners are laid out

Once I started looking around properly, QooQoo really lived up to its reputation for variety. Walking further into the store, the food corners stretch on and on, divided into sections like SUSHI and FRESH CORNER, making it easy to find what you're after. Sushi and rolls are the first thing that comes to mind with QooQoo, but visiting in person shows it's far from a sushi-only spot.

And of course, the sushi corner that's a must at QooQoo! For anyone who loves sushi and rolls, this is probably the biggest reason to come. There isn't just one or two kinds — a wide variety of sushi and rolls made with different ingredients are laid out, so you can pick according to your taste.

The seafood-on-ice corner

Eating sushi nonstop can get a bit heavy, but mixing in salad, hot dishes and seafood along the way lets you enjoy a lot more variety.

If you love seafood, definitely check out this corner too. There was seafood laid out chilled on ice — from what I photographed alone, there was shrimp, octopus, whelk, squid and more. Being set on ice made it look extra fresh, and I liked that you could take small portions of whatever you wanted. Next to it were some spicier-looking dishes too, good for alternating with the plainer seafood. When I go to a buffet, this kind of small-taste-of-everything experience — dishes that are hard to prepare all at once at home — is what I enjoy most.

Fried food corner and en croute soup

After sushi and seafood, I checked out the hot fried food corner too. It had everything from french fries to crispy-fried dishes, bite-sized potato items, and corn dogs. There were plenty of options kids would love, so even kids who don't eat much sushi would have enough to eat here.

Browsing the hot dishes, I also found en croute soup. It's a dish where you eat the soup inside together with the pastry bread on top — a warm soup with crispy pastry that felt quite different from a typical buffet soup. It did note that freshly served dishes may be hot, so you should use tongs instead of touching directly.

Made-to-order noodles: naengmyeon, rice noodle soup and cold soba

On one side there's a corner where you can make your own naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), pho, udon, miso soup, jjamppong, jjajang, and cold soba. It's great when you're craving warm broth or noodles after all the sushi. There's separate soba broth and you can add toppings to your taste, so you can build the bowl exactly how you like.

Allergen information at QooQoo Chuncheon Branch

The food corners also had separate allergen information posted. Egg, milk, buckwheat, sulfites, soybean, peach, tomato, walnut, peanut, chicken, beef, wheat, mackerel, crab, shrimp, pork, squid, shellfish, mussel, abalone, oyster and pine nuts were all listed. If you're visiting with young kids or have specific food allergies, it's worth checking before eating.

After eating my fill, I couldn't just skip the dessert corner.

There was Jeju tangerine juice and ubu bubble tea as shown in the photos, along with refreshing slushies. Slushies like raspberry and papaya were eye-catching just from their color. This drink corner would be a hit with kids especially. Bubble tea fans could add as much tapioca pearl as they wanted. Being able to pick and mix not just food but drinks too really made it feel like a proper buffet.

There were also several kinds of tea to enjoy alongside sweet desserts. Green tea, strawberry, fruit melange, hibiscus, rooibos, and rose grey were all available to choose from. It was nice to finish the meal with a warm cup of tea alongside dessert. I liked that it wasn't just soda or coffee — a full range of teas was available too.

There was a separate coffee machine at the drink corner too, with espresso, americano, cappuccino, café latte and hot chocolate — perfect for a warm coffee after the meal. Coffee lovers would enjoy pairing it with dessert.

What we actually put on our plates

Here's what we actually brought back to our table :) There were so many kinds of sushi that I picked one of everything I wanted to try. The shrimp sushi was so good I went back for it multiple times haha. Since sushi alone felt like not enough, I also tried a bit of fried food, salad and side dishes. With so much variety, there was real fun in picking and choosing. And of course, dessert to finish♡ I made sure to grab chocolate cake and ice cream too. I said I was full, but somehow dessert always finds room haha.

Toss Facepay discount and the 5% group discount

When I visited, QooQoo was also running an event where paying with Toss Facepay gave you an instant ₩5,000 discount. According to the sign I photographed, the benefit applied to payments of ₩21,900 or more, once per person, excluding Facepay card payments. The event period was listed as September 11 to September 30, 2026, and noted it could end early if the budget ran out. Since there was also the weekday discount event I mentioned earlier, I'd recommend checking the entrance or in-store signage to see what benefits apply at the time of your visit.

Near the entrance, there was also a display of QooQoo's own tea and coffee products for sale. Strawberry, green tea, rose grey, hibiscus, peppermint and more — several kinds of tea were available to buy separately, whether for gifting or enjoying at home. I thought the buffet was the whole experience, so it was fun to discover they sell products separately too.

If you're planning a family gathering or group meal, take note of this too. The sign posted in-store said groups of 10 or more with a reservation get a 5% discount. It's not combinable with other discounts and is ongoing until further notice. If you're planning a larger family outing or gathering, it's worth confirming the discount when you make your reservation.

Parking: up to 3 hours free

If you're driving, parking matters too. Per the in-store signage, you get up to 3 hours free parking after registering your car post-meal. At a buffet, you tend to spend longer than a regular restaurant since you keep going back for more food, so 3 hours gives you a pretty comfortable amount of time. Just remember you need to register your car after eating, so don't forget when you're checking out.

Country-of-origin labeling

The store also had clear country-of-origin labeling for key ingredients used in the dishes. Salmon, beef, pork, chicken and duck origins were all listed by menu item, so if you're curious, it's worth checking before your meal.

Final verdict on QooQoo Chuncheon Branch

Overall, QooQoo Chuncheon Branch really lives up to the phrase 'there's so much to eat.'

It's not just sushi and rolls — there's seafood, hot dishes, fried food, salad and fruit, cake and ice cream, plus bubble tea, slushies and tea, so there was fun in picking and choosing from start to dessert.

I especially liked that there's a playroom and baby chairs, making it great to visit with kids. Adults can enjoy sushi and seafood while kids pick their favorites like fried food or dessert — it works well as a family dining spot.

On a day in Chuncheon when picking just one dish feels impossible, and you want to eat a big variety of food all at once, this is a good place to go. If you want to eat your fill from sushi to dessert all in one spot, I'd recommend QooQoo Chuncheon Branch as a family meal spot :)
