Chuncheon sushi buffet with fluke fin sushi and Kooa Chicken: QooQoo

Looking for somewhere to eat out with family, I dropped by QooQoo Chuncheon Branch again after a while! They're currently running a 'Delicious Tastes in One Place' food party, so there were a bunch of new menu items added too 🎉

When you go with family, everyone wants something different, so picking a restaurant is kind of tricky,,, but here everyone can just grab whatever they like, so no need to worry about that at all 🤣👍🏻 Here's my honest review~ 😋

Where is QooQoo Chuncheon Branch, and where do you park?

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch is on the basement level (B1) of 80 Jiseok-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do — the basement of the Toegye-dong CGV building (Two-Top City). It's open daily from 11:30 to 21:30.

You can use the building's parking from B2 to B5, and after your meal, if you give the last 4 digits of your plate number, you get 3 hours free 👍

Inside QooQoo Chuncheon Branch and what a weekend costs

You just walk into the building and head down to B1 — there were signs everywhere, so it wasn't hard to find at all 🙌🏻

They're also running various discounts like a military discount and a birthday discount 👏

Current pricing is ₩24,900 for weekday lunch, ₩29,900 for weekday dinner, and ₩32,900 on weekends and holidays. I visited on a weekend ✨

Walking in, the place was bigger than I expected 👀 Plenty of seating, and the whole vibe was bright and clean! When I visited, there were tons of families too haha

Best of all, the food stations run all the way around the seating area, so on your first lap you fall into the happy dilemma of not knowing what to eat first lol 🤣 It's a great spot for families with different tastes, so it could work well as a Chuncheon buffet spot for family gatherings too

There was a kids' chair ready for families visiting with a baby 👶🏻🩷

There was also a well-set-up playroom for kids to run around in. Kids get to play after eating and parents get to enjoy their meal a bit more leisurely — that's actually a pretty important point haha. If you're looking for a Chuncheon buffet family spot to visit with kids, keep this one in mind 🫶🏻

What's on the new food party menu, station by station

Let's get into the food properly 😋 QooQoo is currently running the food party concept 🎉 Beyond sushi and rolls, there are new items like dongpajok, grilled king oyster mushroom, and gamjatang fried rice, so just browsing was already fun lol. This is where you really start losing it with a plate in hand 🤣💕

Sushi, rolls and seafood station

You can't talk about QooQoo without sushi 🍣 From salmon and fluke sashimi sushi to shrimp, egg sushi, rolls, and gunkan — the variety was really wide

If you love sushi, this is where you'll go wild lol. You can pick as much as you want, so it's perfect if you're looking for an unlimited sushi spot in Chuncheon 🤤

On one side there was also a variety of salads, toppings, and sauces 🥗🌿 Lots of items good for pairing while eating sushi or meat, so it was nice to grab a little at a time

Hot food station: dongpajok and gamjatang fried rice

Moving to the hot food side, the vibe completely changes 🔥

From galbi, chicken dishes, and stir-fries to food party items like dongpajok and gamjatang fried rice, there were plenty of warm options

Even family members who aren't big on sushi won't have anything to worry about lol

Fried dishes and pizza

Plenty of fried food kids will love too 🍤🍟 From fried shrimp to various other fried items and sides, it's good to grab the ones that just came out warm

Two kinds of pizza were on offer too 🍕 It's the sweeter style, so kids will probably love it 🧀💛

Dessert and drinks station

And a dessert station you absolutely cannot skip 🍰🍨💕

Before eating I always tell myself 'I'll just have a little dessert today' — but that resolve disappears the moment I get here lol 🤣

There was bingsu and waffles too! Really wide variety of drinks as well 🥤

There were several kinds of ice cream, and I was weirdly happy to spot marble ice cream too‼️ I love marble ice cream,,, 🤭🩷 Going through sushi, hot food, and dessert like this, I think the wide range of options is QooQoo's biggest strength 👏

The dishes I actually ate at QooQoo Chuncheon Branch

After a good lap of browsing, finally my own plate lol 💗 First round was mostly sushi, of course 🍣

I loaded up a bit of everything from salmon and fluke to rolls and egg sushi — trying one of each was pretty fun haha

And my top pick among the sushi that day was this one‼️ The fluke fin was genuinely delicious,,, 🤤 It's soft to chew with a distinct nutty flavor that hits right away — I wanted to grab another piece right after finishing the first lol

Salmon can't be skipped either 🧡 It has a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and with a little wasabi on top it was great. Every time I come to QooQoo I end up eating several pieces of salmon haha

My second plate went totally off-genre lol 🤣 Galbi, buffalo wings, fried food — I just grabbed everything I wanted. Isn't that the charm of a buffet,,, 🤭💕

Among the meats, the galbi was tastier than I expected. After eating nothing but sushi for a while, a bite of warm meat brought my appetite right back lol 🔥

Buffalo wings were also my thing!! Salty with a nice seasoning, easy to keep picking at 😋 And the fried shrimp happened to be still warm when I grabbed it, so the outside was nice and crispy

Grabbed the Kooa Chicken out of curiosity 🔥 It said spicy, so I was a bit worried, but it was just moderately spicy, not overwhelming. It was great to eat one in between sushi or sweet items 👍🏻

Said this was really my last round and then started on dessert 🍰💕 Grabbed small portions of pastries and cakes I was curious about

Since I was pretty full already, I tasted a bunch of things in small bites — that's the nice part about buffets, being able to try a little of everything 🤭

Finished things off properly with fruit too 🥭🍊 The mango's outer layer was slightly frozen, but the inside was soft and sweet. Nice and refreshing to eat at the end of the meal too 💛

This is the bingsu my dad made for me lol 🍧🩷 At the bingsu station you can pick your own toppings and build it yourself, but I just sat back and let dad hand me his version 🤣 There's fun in making it yourself too, so I think kids would especially love this haha

And the real last item was marble ice cream 🍨🤎 Among the flavors, chocolate banana was the best!! I already love marble ice cream, so being able to have it even at a buffet made me weirdly excited lol. Said I was full but still cleared the desserts properly 🙌🏻💕

If you thought this was just a sushi-heavy place, you'd be very wrong‼️ From the ongoing food party's new items to meat, fried food, pizza, noodles, and dessert, the variety is so wide that everyone in the family could enjoy it their own way 🥰
