Visited Tapgol Park for the first time in ages‼️ It wasn't the place I remembered at all?! I don't know when it turned into such a hip spot — basically a mecca for outdoor tent dining now..?! With the weather so nice, tons of people were out having a drink here and there. I went to Chowon Restaurant, a Korean BBQ spot right next to the tripe place I was so impressed with before‼️

Indoor seats beside the tent tables, with the doors taken off
Chowon Restaurant is full of antique charm🔥 That retro vibe made it super popular. With the nice weather, they'd taken the doors off the storefront entirely. So even eating inside the store felt just like being at the outdoor tent. To eat at the outdoor tent itself, waiting is a must! I sat right next to the outdoor tent table, so even though I wasn't technically outside, it still felt great.
Where on earth did they find this old-school interior? Amazing! Antique touches everywhere

Banchan and self-serve green onion kimchi at Chowon Restaurant
They set the basic banchan (side dishes) right away like this. Kimchi + bean sprouts + bracken fern are best grilled together with the meat, and I recommend eating the green onion kimchi as is! This place makes really good green onion kimchi‼️
Running low on ✅️banchan? Help yourself! I grabbed more green onion kimchi because it was so good. The self-bar was kept hygienic overall too, so I trusted it fully‼️‼️

Looks so good, right? Grilling it up nicely!!!! They pre-heated the pan a bit so it cooked quickly, which was great🔥
By the way, you know sprinkling pepper on frozen pork belly is a must, right? The meat itself was already so tasty it was great even plain!!!
Tried it a bunch of different ways, and it was delicious no matter what I paired it with!!
