Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a ramen restaurant on the basement floor of Lotte Department Store Incheon. It's the kind of place you duck into when you're shopping and suddenly craving a warm bowl of ramen.

The menu caught my eye right away since it's a ramen shop where you can try both dongpo pork char siu and jambon char siu in one place. It's inside Lotte Department Store, connected directly to Incheon Terminal, making it an easy stop if you're hunting for Guwol-dong ramen restaurants or Incheon Lotte Department Store restaurants.

Head toward Outback Steakhouse and you'll spot it without much trouble.

It's an open-concept store, so you can check out the menu just by walking past.

There's a long bar-style seating area, so it looks like a comfortable spot to grab ramen solo. Also seems good for a quick meal in the middle of shopping.

The store had a food safety certification notice posted, along with last order times: 19:30 on weekdays, 20:00 on weekends and holidays.

There were actual menu models on display before ordering, which made choosing easy.

There's a good range, from the basic ramen to the spicy version and dishes topped with dongpo pork. Set menus and sides are also available if a bowl of ramen alone feels like not quite enough.

The refrigerated case had a variety of drinks, and the menu board was large and easy to read while ordering.

There's also a dish that pairs dongpo pork with rice, worth noting if you're after something heartier than ramen.

For Chuseok, Menya Seoul is running a four-line poem event, so I joined in just for fun.

After finishing your meal, you return your dishes to the bussing station behind the store yourself. There's also a review event running — leave a receipt review and get a free ajitamago (soft-boiled egg) aged over 48 hours.

Lemon kelp vinegar and chili oil on every table

Every seat had lemon kelp vinegar and chili oil set out. If you want something clean and refreshing, go for the lemon kelp vinegar; if you want more spicy depth, add a little chili oil. It was nice to try the base flavor first, then start adjusting it midway through.

I ordered both flavors of dongpo pork char siu ramen to try.

Dongpo pork char siu ramen: the mild bowl

Thick dongpo pork char siu, jambon char siu, bean sprouts, seaweed, and green onion sat generously over a milky white broth — it looked delicious from the first glance.

The broth looked rich but was less heavy than expected. Warm, savory, and it paired well with the noodles.

The pickled radish that comes standard, along with a crunchy pickled ramen side, went perfectly with the bowl.

The noodles were especially good — thin and springy, so the broth naturally clung to them, keeping that slurp-friendly texture alive.

The jambon char siu had an appealingly soft texture, while the thick dongpo pork brought a different kind of charm. Getting to enjoy two different types of char siu in one bowl was a real plus.

If you like spicy food, the spicy version is worth trying too.

The red broth looked fiery just to look at, packed with dongpo pork, jambon char siu, bean sprouts, seaweed, and green onion.

When I asked before ordering, staff said it's milder than Shin Ramyun — and that turned out to be about right. Less spicy than expected but nicely punchy, with noticeably more kick than the mild version, which kept it from feeling greasy to the last bite.

Stirring the noodles well into the broth let the spicy flavor soak in, and with the thick dongpo pork on top, it was quite filling. The mild ramen leans clean and savory, the spicy one leans rich and punchy — pick based on your mood.

Once you're done eating, just return your dishes to the store's bussing station yourself.

Mild or spicy? Final take on Menya Seoul in Incheon

A great spot to duck into when you're shopping at Lotte Department Store Incheon and craving ramen. Getting to enjoy springy noodles alongside both dongpo pork char siu and jambon char siu made for a pretty filling bowl. The difference between the mild and spicy ramen was clear enough that picking by preference was easy. It's close to Incheon Terminal for good accessibility, and being in the department store basement made it convenient before or after shopping or a movie.
